Everything run's hand and hand as far as I'm concerned. If game play is greatly improved but, franchise's big problems haven't been addressed then I wouldn't be happy. Because I'm a strictly offline player and all the game play in the world means very little to me if I'm not building on to something. I want working IR, good sim stats (for cpu teams), Presentation, etc.

On the flip side, even if everything in franchise has been improved and everything "works properly" that means nothing to me if game-play sucks. Poor game-play makes playing franchise less rewarding because the games just aren't fun. I rarely (if ever) sim my teams games so, I want good game-play to make the game worth playing. If that makes sense.

I'm disappointed that Locomotion aka the way players move is being "sold" as a FEATURE.....wow. I'm just saying, is this what NFL games have been reduced to? Oh well, I will hopefully be impressed with E3....

So Locomotion's not a feature now? Riiiiiight

The only reason anyone I ever knew played madded was Franchise Mode offline. LONG LONG LONG before I ever knew about these forums I was happy in my own little world playing my Franchise.

The only reason I ever got involved with this crap was because offline franchise mode went to crap.

You have it ALL wrong. Most of the people that were involved with these sites where either online players OR tourney guys. THAT is where these sites came from.

Not from OFFLINE players. Remember they are OFFLINE players.

They aren't going to come to some site like this, they play the game OFFLINE.

When you look at only how you play or base it on how your circle of friends play and then throw in some random websites where other hardcore players go, and say that's the definitive word on how 6 million people should view the importance of one aspect of a game, then you really don't understand minority vs. majority at all.

I'm not telling you franchise isn't important, I'm telling you that you don't represent the majority no matter how much you'd like to believe otherwise.

I have a pertinent theory that OFFLINE players are more likely to frequent forums. This is because the OFFLINE player cares about the intricacies of the game and really wants to discuss it with someone or lobby for change. For that reason, most of OS is OFFLINE players.

Like I said everyone I know outside of forums plays 90% of the time offline. They could care less about forums or even really talking about.

I would have to agree with this assessment. All of my friends (25-35 demo) play this game offline. Yeah, we try to start an online franchise, but life get in the way. For the most part, we are all playing our own franchises OFFLINE. None of my friends come to forums.

It will be interesting to see how d-line stunts are handled, and d end dropping back into coverage and even delayed blitzes. The assignment ai was kind of vague the way it was explained. Hopefully it is primarily used in run blocking schemes.

Let me get this straight... Me saying that an internet poll doesn't represent the whole, is an assumption? C'mon. No, that's just good 'ol fashioned common sense. You could go to a site for hardcore shoe lovers and take a poll on what color is best and everybody could vote red. That doesn't in any way shape or form extract a definitive conclusion that red is everyone's favorite color.

And as far as the information I got from EA, it is what it is. You're free to believe whatever you like, but I know what I was told and I gain no benefit from telling you anything less than the truth.

Well EA could answer this question REAL fast. It is this simple.

Ask ONE question the first time someone puts the CD into the console.

EA has never asked me what my interest is in the game. I guessing they haven't asked a lot of people.

Then they would really know and the speculation would be over. Even IF and that is a BIG IF this guy has spoke with someone who divulged the results of EA's marketing department to him that doesn't mean the marketing department is doing a good job.

If that was the case any game with a marketing department would have a successful franchise and be rolling in cash like Scrooge McDuck.
