So No New QB Ratings...why?
I am pretty sure that we were told a long time ago that the new QB accuracy ratings, throwing on the run, and play action ratings would be added into the NCAA series to keep up with Madden.

I didn't even think to check the depth charts to see if these were there. Would really like to know why they wouldn't implement the feature if it's not in the game.Comment

Re: So No New QB Ratings...why?
Well it is a nice addition from madden 09 to 10 and I would apreatiate for importing classes to madden, however I can live with out it.
Mabey it will still be added? Who knows, but with all the stuff we have got this year I can wait till next year.Comment

Re: So No New QB Ratings...why?
My logical guess is memory concerns.
Assuming that each rating is stored in a byte (which can store a value from 0 to 255):
Five new ratings (QB short acc, QB med acc, QB deep acc, QB scramble, QB PA) = 5 bytes
Five new ratings for every player on one team = 5 bytes x 70 players = 350 bytes
Five new ratings for every player on every team = 5 bytes x 70 players x 120 teams = 42000 bytes = ~41 kilobytes
That's not an inconsequential amount of memory when it comes to stuff that has to be stored and accessed repeatedly, which ratings do in in-game situations. I'm thinking that, given everything else that is going on during the runtime operation of NCAA Football (particularly during gameplay where there's some serious number crunching going on) that there simply isn't space to squeeze into memory the new ratings without making cuts elsewhere.Comment

Re: So No New QB Ratings...why?
They should implement short, medium and long accuarcy on the sliders instead if they can't include it the actual game ratings.
I see no reason why they can't just add more sliders to allow us to customize game play.
I was looking forward to it myself (Extra passing ratings).....but if they didn't have enough time to implement those ratings then they should use the sliders as a back up option.
Passing Sliders to Customize would be something like this
Human/CPU
QBA Awareness-CPU OPTION Only
Pass Accuarcy-Already installed
Short Pass Accuarcy-New
Medium Pass Accuarcy-New
Deep Pass Accuarcy-New
Pass Blocking-Already Installed
WR Catch-Already Installed
WR Focus-New
WR Route Running-New
Last year they added Pass Coverage and Rush Defense to the defensive sliders replacing the old sliders Defensive Awareness and Block Shed
Now I'm going to do my own stuff with the ratings but if they somehow surprise us with extra slider options this year then it would basically offset not having those extra ratings inpmlemented this year liek they were installed in Madden 10NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: So No New QB Ratings...why?
It's disappointing that they don't have the extra ratings. They would have been able to play into the new offensive schemes perfectly. Short passing aces could dominate in the spread and WCO, and the mid-deep range guys would be more likely found in the pro style and running teams. Would have made recruiting QBs way more interesting and also made gameplay better.
Luckily it seems like the game will be good this year, so this won't bother me too much. 'There's always next year,' and if I can wait a year for Madden's franchise mode to be overhauled, I can wait a year for a few ratings.Comment
