First Charge of Mound

Rockies playing the Marlins. Nolasco batting trying to bunt runner over. I went in high and tight with a fastball from Cook. Nolasco pulls back a bit and ball nails him. Him and Olivo get in shoving match and he charges the mound. Then it cuts away. First time in all the years playing I have seen this in the Show. Was awesome. Only drawback was Cook was ejected but Nolasco got to stay in the game. Lost the game 5-3 but didn't matter. That was cool.

I thought this was in the game for awhile? I remember seeing it many times before. Not trying to take away the excitement of your first time seeing it though!

I have seen it twice now, and both times my pitcher got run. I think it has to do with the fact that I tend to retaliate a lot when my guys get hit.

Does the CPU have any logic for this sort of thing? Will they ever retaliate or get the message if I retaliate?

That's awesome!! I've brushed some people back, and beaned them, but they were blowout games where I was losing. CPU didn't retaliate.

I don't think so. The announcers might say something, but I have never had the CPU hit me on purpose (as far as I can tell). And none of my guys have ever charged the mound. My pitcher will get thrown out a lot if I hit a batter, especially when I miss the first time. I hit a player once after missing three straight and it flashed to the Yankee dugout where their were pointing and complaining. I got tossed in that one.

Did anyone think to ask for/recommend brawls for '11? I'm not necessarily asking for any crazy UFC style cut scenes (I wouldn't complain), but an extended cut or two of some scuffling on the field would be good.

I'll wait 'til '12 or so to demand POV fighting scenes a la NHL 10 so I can pull a Nolan Ryan whenever I give up 5 runs in an inning. =D

I like MVP 05's charging of the mound. I think it gave you the option to charge the mound as well and it panned out to a birdseye view of the park and you see the benches clearing and everyone running from the dugouts. I think something like that would be cool.
