Re: NHL 11 E3 Trailer
Hey, could happenI really hope they are limited to a few players on each team along with all other skill moves, as I don't want to see Hal Gill on a breakaway toe dragging, kicking the puck between his legs, jumping over a defender laying down and finishing while laying on the ice
NHL-Montreal Canadiens
MLB-New York Yankees
NFL-Green Bay PackersComment

Re: NHL 11 E3 Trailer
You need to take into mind its still June, the game isn't finished and will still be considerably fine tuned til up around 4 weeks or so before it ships. I'm honestly not all that worried about the odd looking hit here or there just yet. Personally I'm glad to have much more variety coming to the game this year. I think the physics engine over the next couple iterations will completely change the game and hopefully make each game feel fresh.
When you Add in other things like the addition of banner raising to NG/CG consoles, what look to be tweaked intros rather than the same ol same ol spot lights with team logos they've had the last few years and hopefully more pertinent stat overlays, *fingers crossed on the latter* The game should feel a bit fresher this year with all the new additions. Really for me I'm quite alright with that as I'm still playing 10 nearly a year later.Comment

Re: NHL 11 E3 Trailer
I agree. But I am sure they will really keep it the same. They want to show off the new physics. It is the same way with the skill stick. They wanted to show that off, so a lot of people were pulling off A.O type of plays. It is OK, but it what it is. You might be right they might tone down the torquing in the final version, but I can see them leaving it the way it is too.You need to take into mind its still June, the game isn't finished and will still be considerably fine tuned til up around 4 weeks or so before it ships. Re: NHL 11 E3 Trailer
It would be you and me.
Also, you guys share the same thoughts. If someone talks bad about this game, you guys show up.
It is all good. This is going to be a really good game and if they finally make the studs stand out more, it will be a really really great game in my opinion.

Eh...wouldn't go that far. I don't mind critism of the game if its warranted, but when people go all 'chicken little' over nothing more than an announcement of a new feature and a sizzle trailer having never seen any actual gameplay...It would be you and me.

then yeah, THAT annoys me.
There are things I'd change about the game too and things I worry about, but I try not to run around crying about it or dreaming up problems in my head.Comment

At the end of it is just a video game. Since I figured that out; it is a lot more enjoyable to play!Eh...wouldn't go that far. This, I'm all for constructive criticism, hell I do it enough with 2k's game, its the nit picking without actual game play footage and the yearly bs "comeback logic" threads that really annoy the crap out of me. There's things about the game I'd like to see done better or implemented differently as well.Comment

I will just say this; I hope I am wrong and those hits don't look all that floppy, but knowing how the skill stick went, I have my doubts. Still the game will own my soul. If the players that are studs play so much better than the scrubs, I will be a very very happy camper.

Re: NHL 11 E3 Trailer
Whats the issue with the skill stick? Personally I like not having to rely on a ton of absolutely canned animations ala ovie dekes. But thats most likely a to each their own type of thing. Agreed tho a tad more player seperation would be nice as long as its not over done, its not that hard to deke to be honest. No! Not you, you nit pick 2k?

With the skill stick; I feel like they really wanted to show that off, so that is why a lot of players could do amazing dekes. I agree about deke, but it is the way they can deke. I could pull off some sweet moves with guys that I should not be able to that with. That is what I am talking about.Whats the issue with the skill stick?
