Re: NBA 2K11 First Impressions (Gameinformer)
The same reason why 2k made Jordan appear on the cover, pure marketing
The series wasn´t doing good over the last years, so they decided to change the name so that fans would understand that huge changes, including the name, are being done.
As did 2k, with the increasing number of users starting to get fedup with the 0 development of things like the online, etc, over the years, they understand that putting MJ on the cover it is almost like obliging people to buy the game, specially the consumers, because lovers of the game don´t care about "covers"
I don´t know who is more desperate, EA tring to make justice to their history in this sport, or YOU trying to bash them, even when they haven´t been true competitors, except last season, over the past few years

This post is not about elite nor Live
My nickname has nothing to do to either NBA live or NBA elite, so that is a fail on your part
My obliged off-topics are over

Re: NBA 2K11 First Impressions (Gameinformer)
Tend to hear this every year...Animations blend together better, and players are no longer locked into their animations and rendered helpless until the move runs its course.
I'm mainly curious to see how ballhandling works.[NYK|DAL|VT]

are you nuts? shot stick is great. you feel like you are shooting the ball more than just using a button to press.Nope, there IS pressure, my dude. Don't get that twisted. Mike Wang knows whussup and is showing them the way. 2K KNOWS that iso-shot stick crap was non-sense and when MW went to EA and helped create that great control scheme, MW KNEW he had to scrap that iso-bull when he went back to them. Hopefully, shot stick will be gone, too.Comment

sucks that 2k wants players ot learn dribble moves instead of moving a stick left to right doesnt it? get rid of shotstick is the worst thing ive ever heard. where are you been the last couple years? still playing live i betNope, there IS pressure, my dude. Re: NBA 2K11 First Impressions (Gameinformer)
I used to be a shot-stick maniac in previous years but I've noticed that I actually use it less in 2k10 than in any next-gen 2k title maybe because they changed the release of players jumpers made it more difficult to shoot with the shot stick than just pressing a button. I'm not against the shot stick but it's becoming a bit pointless unless I'm in the post, which makes it a thing of beauty to use. I hope they bring back manual post-up instead of that auto post-up crap!
Anyway though, this article was a very nice read, glad they are going away with iso-motion wasn't always bad but really made it hard to control a player since it was difficult to pull off moves. Those screens which I assume are of the game really look great, especially the shot of D.Howard they really got him this year as far as I can tell from that angle. I am also amped to hear the new presentation additions, I will be keeping an eye out for more info.Comment
