Having played the "other game" this one feels very "static" to me. Passing is just too easy. There appears to be a better feel in the running game, but I'm not sold.

I was going to start a thread on this but maybe since it's just the demo I'll ask here.

Auto speed vs. not to auto speed ...

That is the question.

When I first played it, I loved it. But the more I got to thinking I wondered about it taking away a necessary control. I definitely noticed it's easier to overpursue with auto speed on and started to play with it off. Then again, it is fun to have auto speed on when you're running up the gut. Then again, it can take away your ability to cleanly cut. I found this hard to fully gauge considering you can't juke in the demo.

I didnt like it. tried it for one game and that was enough. I want to be in total control over when I accelerate and when I dont.

hit stick low doesnt work. i have yet to have/see a chop tackle in over 20 games

I noticed this too.. I broke right into the backfield on a running play and went to take the back's legs out, and pressed the right stick down, but then my player hit him up high.. I'll be sad if they took the low chop hits out..

Are ya'll kiddin me, this game Sucks. I'm so glad I didn't trade back in Ncaa 10. This game doesn't look are feel real at all. The camera is too far back, Players don't even look lifelike. EA dropped the ball on this one. So ofcourse this means Madden is not going to be that much better. Sticking with Backbreaker.

how could they make college players look lifelike?

In terms of the player models i think they look great....but if your asking them to make them look like the actual college players themselves that isn't possible.

On side note i'm still playing NCAA 10 myself but it's not better than NCAA 11 for these reasons IMO

Animations, fatigue, formation subs and presentation

I'm still getting mileage out of NCAA 10 right now...but NCAA 11 is a step up

The game feels like Madden 10 on c***k. The speed of the game is way to high, and it hurts the animations. There is still a lot of poor tackling animations, and the catching animations still lack a lot of enthusiasm. I really wish they could just ditch this engine. It is starting to get really stale, IMO.

At the risk of starting a flame war, the Backbreaker demo was a colossal failure. Control was non-existant and the CPU threw INT after INT.

Have you not seen there will be game speed options in the game? I love the tempo, if you don't you can slow it down more.

Pretty sure it's in 09 (I didn't get 10 and 09 is what me and my buddies are using for OD).

Played the demo and Its OK. I think there isn't any WOW left in football games any more. The game looks and plays OK. I did see some puzzling blocking on a running play I had but overall the game looks and plays fine. I do how ever think EA should take a page from backbreakers and do a better job with the crowd. The colorforms look in some screens is just plain lazy.

EA needs to take the time to make the crowd look like a real crowd. Look at MLB the Show or Backbreakers and see how it is done.

I feel the same way.. The demo isn't bad but the throws over the middle and the players still warping to the ball is still a problem for me.

hey look if you guys don't like the game that's fine.....

but to say one game should do something that the other games does can work both ways you know....

the crowd IMO isn't as important as the players on the field and that other game might have better looking crowds but the players themselves are weird looking not football players at all to me

... i don't like that when i score a td it puts me back into offensive plays, instead of special teams. along the same lines, when i pick special teams from my own 20, it shows up with the option to kick a fg instead of punt first.

Extremely annoying. Bet they fixed it.

I love the demo & yeah theirs bugs & stuff that gets on my nerves still but if your a real college football fan then who cares? Just the feeling of playing football again is great & can't wait for the season to start man.

The only thing that bothers me most, & it's just me, is that i just feel like the last gen (NCAA 05-06') seems to have a much smoother gameplay and whatnot.
