Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
I like that Shields/Souza part where he gets rocked and fights to grab the leg; I hope that doesn't always happen and there's some variation, but it's far better than what THQ did with the falling sideways every time crap.
Just noticed that there's also a lot of bars at the top there: Head, Torso, Legs, Stamina. I'm curious exactly how they all work and exactly what it leads to when they empty.
The commentary sure does add some excitement...the comments about his championship being in jeopardy were great.
If you notice, they do incorporate Fight Night physics like they said. The knockdown animations can be interrupted by another blow to the head, something Fight Night does well. Very nice.
Meh, doesn't look as good as Undisputed for some reason. The detail and graphics seems to be lacking. One thing I lonved about UFC is the incredible damage detail it had when you got beat up in the octagon. I don't think MMA is going to have that.
Oh yeah and I noticed the stamina bars too. One good thing about UFC is that you could get knocked out at any time even with the 1st punch / kick. I hope the same rings true for MMA as well. And the stamina bars don't soely dictate how / when you get knocked out.

From what I seen limbs have energy themselves they can only take so much damage in a short period.
You can see it in the fedor vs randy video when randy is in mouth hammerfisting fedor with clean shots.
IMO, it looks like a poor mans UFC at this point. I heard repetitive commentary "punches in bunches" as well - None the less, EA has done a great job in the FN series. I can only hope this one tightens up prior to release since it does seem they are on the right track with this one.
Looks pretty good but I can't get over the movement of the fighters. It seems like they are "floating" around at a pretty fast speed. Rarely will fighters move as fast as the guys are moving in this video. If they change the "ring speed" (for lack of better term) to make it more like FN, I think that would improve the overall experience.
