Are you going to play Madden '11?

Simply put, are you going to play Madden '11? I'm curious to see how many people who vote no actually stick with that decision. Should be a fun little experiment.

Vote YES if you will be playing Madden '11 via buying it yourself new or used, at a friends house, gamefly, local rental store, etc..

Vote NO if you will not be playing Madden '11 outside of the demo. Any other form of playing the retail version of Madden, please vote yes.

If you are unsure, then don't vote until you are.

I will be buying it but only for the Online Franchise.

Im in a decent franchise which is very active and if it wasn't for that, then I would probably skip M11 and get NCAA instead.

No, I haven't purchased Madden this gen (except to get Head Coach early) because I haven't been happy with franchise mode. I'll pass again this year. If franchise mode was up to par I could look over a lot of the other things people complain about (skating, poor colission detection, etc.).

I voted no because I don't intend to purcahse it, and I don't know anyone else who plays Madden locally so I doubt I'll be over at a friends etc and happent to play it.

Not really sure what the point here is though; what is lumping not paying to play it and paying to play it together under "yes" meant to be saying? EA cares if people pay for it, not if they are so opposed to the series they won't even play it for free.

LOL there has been like a dozen different post like this in the past week are so now. But despite the lack of improvement on franchise mode this year. I will still be buying madden11. So yes I will be buying it.

Unless the Offline Franchise get some huge news then I am not going to buy it. Bought it the last 3 years and I am not impressed with the changes this year. I want madden to be alot like HC but with the ability to play the games.

I am definitely buying ncaa. Madden looks like the same game as last year, with the addition of gameflow (which i prob would not use) and gus johnson (who we will all be sick of anyway 1 month in) and locomotion. From what i have seen in the videos, locomotion makes little difference. Players still bounce around like ping pong balls and can turn on a dime (did you see the reggie bush punt return vid?)

I don't have time to play two football games. So it looks like madden is out this year for me.

But you never know i guess. I have a lot of friends who play madden online...

It's way too early to say, but considering I haven't bought one next gen madden and the fact that there seems to be little to no new additions besides the newb friendly stuff I highly doubt it. Franchise and tackling engine improvements would have been a selling point and nothing seems to have changed with them.

Nope, not even gonna touch Madden this year, besides the demo - just to give it a shot.

To be fair though, I didn't buy Backbreaker either (horrific camera angles and passing system). Not really satisfied with any of the new football titles out there at the moment.

Is this a poll to see how many "anti-madden fans" there is on OS???

I assume anyone who doesnt plan on buying Madden will atleast rent it giving that they dont hate the demo...

Overall I just think this is another "agenda thread"

I dont see the point...Why does everyone who doesnt plan on buying madden on release day has to be labeled something, or be called out to why they are posting in a Madden forum???

At the end of the day, MOST of us are Madden and Football fans...

Here's my story. Not that anyone cares. Or should.

I never had a reason to get a game console, so I always stuck with PC games. 2K still makes basketball and baseball for the PC. I've come here every year to see if Madden or NCAA has gotten to the point on the console (either XBOX or PS3) to purchase the game and a console. But every year, I hear really bad things about Madden. Things broken that have been broken for over 6 years. Things removed and not added back, for whatever reason.

Then I started following Red Dead Redemption for a couple of years. Been waiting for a good Western since, well, forever. And then it only came out for the game consoles, but not on the PC - damn. And that game, along with hearing good things about FIFA and NHL, forced me to get a PS3. Something Madden hasn't been able to do the entire next gen life cycle.

I've heard good things about NCAA 11, so I'll def be getting that, now that I have a PS3 (got the PS3 a little over a month ago). But I'm on the fence with Madden. The only reason I would get it is because it would be the first for me on the next gen. I'll likely wait until next year and see if they added any decent franchise stuff to it. Wish they would have continued to develop Head Coach and put the Madden game play updates in head coach.

Cause then we would have had Madden with a very good franchise. It would have just been called "Head Coach".
