      What's wrong with giving people the option of button or shotstick?

      I don't care that you think a 6 year old could do it, that's irrelevant, some people just prefer to use buttons, so the option should stay.

        I agree, I have always used the button for shooting and thought it was kind of stupid that certain shots could only be performed with the shot stick. Maybe it will have a more natural feel if they do something with dribbling on the right stick. I guess we will see. I'm not opposed to using the shot stick but when you are using one thing for so long I guess it is hard to want to change.

            I haven't heard anything about that yet. I don't think it's been mentioned.

            Hopefully we're given an option of whether to post up or not this year. The player should always have the freedom of choice.

              YOU THINK THE BUTTON somehow gives us an advantage. i would have thought we were at a disadvantage especially on layups and in the post.

              if you choose to use a so called " high skill" controll layout dont complain.....especially since a 6yr old can do it.

              anyway, i have tried to use it, seemed gimmicky and i am an old school baller
              NOW PLAYING: NBA Live, madden 11,12, battlefield v, F1 2020 and injustice 2 and COD:MW

              #18 greatest EVA....

                I'm not as selfish to request a game to get rid of an option that mostly everyone else uses.

                    i hope its still in the game this year. its sorely needed to keep people from running head down into the paint like 2k9. besides just holding the LT while close the a defender by the paint still post your up. its no different than last year

                      I really wouldn't have a problem with them removing turbo all toghether and using the right trigger for taking shots and using the stick for dribbling ala Live.

                      Right trigger shooting could be very rewarding almost like shooting in COD or Gears. Short Bursts lol

                        I like isomotion in theory. I sometimes had a hard time getting ballhandlers to do what I wanted though. But keeping whatever dibbling system on the left stick seems to make more sense since you move with the left stick. Grabbing the trigger and using the left stick felt like a natural extension to me.

                        And don't touch the shot stick, except to improve it of course.

                        And please, please get rid of the skating. THAT is the worst part of the game IMO. Realistic foot/court interaction would go a long way towards looking realistic.

                        Better player interaction would be 2nd on my list.

                        And we need the post up button back. Triggering the post up has been a pain in 2K10.

                          It took a couple of generations, but eventually companies weaned everyone off of using the D-pad to move their player and now its no longer an option. I think the same thing will eventually happen with button shooting.

                            It's like we're back in 2002-2003. Games are going to the basics and creating whole new mechanics. It's not about new features/gimmicks (even though they're probably there), but about going back to the basics. And I like it!

                                Your post can easily be misinterpreted when you use wording like - “get rid of ”.

                                Wouldn’t it have made more sense to post something like - “have the shotstick set up by default and the option to change to buttons if you wish”?

                                I can be bothered reading, but can you be bothered communicating clearly? :wink:
