Re: Maggette to the Bucks
Things are looking bleak on the Andre Iguodala (or other trade deadline player) front for the Bucks. Gadzuric had an expiring contract the Bucks were keeping in their pocket; they still have Redd's massive trade deadline contract, but now they have a fixture swingman. Maggette is under contract through 2012-13.
By the way, I think that Charlie Bell just rubbed Skiles the wrong way. Every month with the exception of January, his playing time has gone down.Last edited by Shinyhubcaps; 06-22-2010, 09:46 PM.Comment

Supposedly they also picked up Chris Douglas-Roberts for a second round pick from the Nets.

Re: Maggette to the Bucks
It is. He's worth more than that.
Good pickup by the Bucks.
Lets see what the Bucks had to give up. Woj is really good with this stuff.Quick correction: Nets and Bucks still finalizing the 2nd-round pick in Chris Douglas-Roberts deal, but one team exec. says won't be 44 now.
WojYahooNBA Nets have agreed in principle to send Chris
Douglas-Roberts to Bucks for 2012 2nd-round pick, source says. Deal will be completed this week.Last edited by Kully; 06-23-2010, 08:17 AM.Comment

Re: Maggette to the Bucks
I'm not too sure Project.
How good? They will be good enough to get to the playoffs, and then will get destroyed.
But as with many other teams, that's the best you can hope for I guess. Especially when you're Milwaukee.Comment

Re: Maggette to the Bucks / CDR as well?
My thinking behind this is that first, as a young team they want to build on any momentum they have. I don't think they can/could re-sign Salmons. Therefore they went out and acquired someone to help in regards to scoring. Second, I believe Michael Redd is an expiring contract at 18 million (correct me if I am wrong), therefore if they put a nice run together going into the All Star Game. They could package the Redd contract potentially into something nice or Michael Redd has a good year and they make a nice little run in the playoffs."Ma'am I don't make the rules up.
