    Possible run game help

Well, when trying to think of ways to get my run game going, I spent some time looking at linemen. One thing I noticed, which might just be specific to Ozzy Jones path, is that the rookie centers coming out of the draft don't have very good impact blocking. So I moved one of the Onken brothers, whichever was the RG, to center to try and get more push at the point of attack on inside runs. I've played 4 games and it seems to help a little. I don't see my center getting blown up my backers as often. I know it is a small sample size and that it could be any number of other things, like the style of defense the opposing coach plays or the level of talent on the field or the assistant coaches, but any little bit that could help...
Oh, we will. This is America! And in America, if something sucks, you're supposed to be able to get your money back! Come on, Kenny!

It is true that the center plays an overly important role in the running game, I stopped moving my best lineman to LT and have been using them as Inside linemen, and it does make a difference. Another HC oddity that we can blame on the Madden engine.

you need a running back that has very good learning and for the O-line try to get a guy that has a strong push and high agility for a O-line guy to play at C, i suggest turning a LT into a C, and the most important thing is just for your guys to know the plays, becuase if they dont know the plays nothing will work

I would also recommend going unbalance (switching the TE with your weak side tackle) a few times. Run with your Fullback too.

          Don't run on first down.

Do run on second down even if it seems a little too far to run.

Pay attention to what they are doing on defense... the teams that shut down my running game are the ones that commit heavy up front... I go to pass heavy for a while and then come back to the run later after they soften up.

What you call and when matters a lot.
