Re: Heisman difficulty level.
I have had games in the demo where the defense is psychic and reads everything I do and then there are other games where Heisman plays like varsity. My biggest Heisman win was 49 - 7 over Florida where they kept fumbling and doing everything wrong.
That is why I like all american because it seems less cheap but to easy till I mess with sliders.NCAA Football/Basketball - Michigan Wolverines
NCAA Lacrosse - North Carolina Tar Heels
MLB - Detroit Tigers
NHL - Detroit Red Wings

Re: Heisman difficulty level.
I played 3 games on Heisman on the demo...3-0, but all were close, competitive games.
I've lost 2 games out of like 12 or 13 I've played on the demo and both were all american shockingly. All-American is alright, I use it in off line dynasty with UK with adjusted sliders. I got slaughtered 28-14 by OU...I was impressed at the CPU doing that to me on All-American.Comment

Re: Heisman difficulty level.
I laugh every time I see someone make the comment "Well just use the 'cover up the ball button'" I can't help but chuckle. I can't even begin to count the number of stupid fumbles I've seen in the demo that are obviously a product of "catch-up logic" as a method to add excitement to the game by EA.
I've camped out on the "cover up" button and used the right stick as well, but guys will fumble at the most inopportune times when it's completely obvious there is programming behind it.
I go up 21-0 in the 3rd quarter and naturally fumble a carry that was on 3rd and 1 for an easy first down. The CPU scores on the very next play on a short pass where my entire defense looked like five year olds chasing Usain Bolt. Then they recover the onside kick, and score on the very next play... ridiculous.
I don't buy too much into the flow of the game on the demo at all.
None of the difficulty levels mean anything because it's all based on some logic that won't even be in the full game. How else do you explain supernatural plays at the most predictable times?
I've also seen the dback magic where they run the route of the receiver before the QB even releases the ball or the receiver makes the cut, and I've seen safeties break and cover on a ball where they fly 40 yards in 2 seconds.
Anyways, I hope this doesn't make its way into the full version, but no way it could. The demo is like playing NBA Jam when you're up by too much.Comment

Re: Heisman difficulty level.
Heisman has always cheated you in past NCAA games. You are better off getting a more realistic game by making sliders harder on All-American or Varsity difficulties.Comment

Re: Heisman difficulty level.
Difference between top teams vs weaker teams....with many different outcomes
Realistic QB play such as passes that sail high, too far or too low
OL vs DL interaction the best on any level hands downs (Not much Suction blocking at all)
Wr Catching.....no rocket catching which leads to more off target throws
ANIMATIONS, ANIMATIONS and more ANIMATIONS....I saw animations on Varsity level last year that i didn't even realize was in the game when i started out on Heisman and then AA Level before dropping down.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

These are the things in NCAA 10 that opened my eyes to Varsity level if you really dig into the sliders andset them up pretty good

I gotta admit, you've got me intrigued. I only rented Ncaa last year and didn't care for it,but I AM getting this years. Have you played on varsity in the demo yet? and if so,are you still confident that the game can be "tweaked" to play as good as varsity did last year.
I've worked on several slider sets throughout the years on Madden with alot of guys here,I'm not sure what your method is (alone or with some help) as far as working on sliders, but I would be more than willing to work with you to get the best possible set, with as many variables in team differences that would be needed.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Heisman difficulty level.
Does anyone know if we will be able to use/edit sliders in online dynasty? I don't think I remember being able to use them in OD in years past13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010

Re: Heisman difficulty level.
I mean even in Madden the game used to always be set on Pro level.....
What if those levels are truly the levels that best reflect matchups and ratings because EA developed the games on those level's. I was actually floored last year by varsity level after tweaking the sliders to make the CPU compete.
They (EA) never give any feedback on levels of play....but if you think about it why do they always release games on the lower level?
Go over to the NBA Live boards and you'll see tons of guys really enjoying the Pro level slidersLast edited by Playmakers; 06-26-2010, 01:40 AM.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD
