Turned in 11 performances of double-digit tackles in 1989 and notched a career-high 23 takedowns against Illinois, finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting that season in addition to winning both the Butkus and Lombardi Awards.
George Webster
A two-time all-American (1965-66). … Webster helped to revolutionize college defenses by defining the "Rover" position – which was a linebacker/safety hybrid. Spartans fans voted Webster the greatest player in Spartans history in 1969. No one has yet come along to challenge that honor.

QB-#15 Drew Brees (Jr), (6'0 213, 4.83 40 time, 32 inch vertical)
Key Ratings:
OVR-91, SPD-70, AWR-88, STR-68, THP-84, THA-93
The facts: Three-year starter from 1998-2000. ... Finished his career as the Big Ten's all-time leading passer, a record he still holds. ... Led Purdue to its first Big Ten title in 33 years and its second trip to the Rose Bowl. ... Won the Maxwell Award as the nation's top player in 2000. ... Finished third in the Heisman voting in 2000 and fourth in 1999.
CB-#26 Rod Woodson (Sr), (6'0 200, 4.38 40 Time)
Key Ratings:
OVR-92, SPD-92, STR-69, AGI-93, ACC-93, AWR-97, CTH-86, JMP-81, TAK-75, PRC-97, MCV-90, ZCV-97, RET-99
Woodson's four years as a Boilermaker truly were special, as he was named first-team All-Big Ten three times, including being a consensus pick following his junior and senior seasons. Woodson's exceptional career numbers still fill the Purdue record book two decades later. He remains the school's career leader for interceptions returned for touchdowns (three - tied), fumble recoveries (seven - tied) and combined return yards (2,014). He also continues to rank among the top four all-time in interceptions (11), solo tackles (320) and total tackles (445).
