LMAO! "IF" my aunt had nards, she'd be my uncle!! "IF", are you kidding? Lets just keep it to facts. The Jets went to the AFC Championship game and played well on the road against the same Colts. If the Jets DB's weren't completely injury riddled, that gm would have been different. Sanchez played badly at first, finished STRONG and LED his team. He was a ROOKIE, and that's what you can expect. Rookie QB's typically don't dominate NFL games.

Because your an expert Madden franchise dude, you are the expert on what a players potential rating would be? You should apply for an NFL GM job buddy!

You make all the excuses you like for Sanchez, rookie, did well in the playoffs, looks like Vinnie Chase, eats hot dogs..... He was awful last season.

Comparison to players rated close to him in madden 11:

        Jay Cutler –83 madden rating--27 TDs / 26 INTS....77 QB rating

        Jason Campbell – 83------------2O TDs / 15 INTS....86 QB rating

        Kyle Orton (DEN) – 80-----------21 TDs / 12 INTS...86 QB rating

        Matt Hasselbeck (SEA) – 79-----17 TDs / 17 INTS.... 75 QB rating

        Chad Henne(DOL)- 79-----------12 TDs / 14 INTS.... 75 QB rating

        Mark Sanchez (NYJ) – 82------- 12 TDs / 20 INTS.... 63 QB rating

Sanchez had by far the worst TD/INT ratio and QB rating.
You tell me how Orton, who had 21 tds and 12 ints is rated lower than a guy that had 12 tds and 20 ints.
Somehow the guy has been given a boost from his rookie year. Fine, rookies always have inflated ratings but he's not a rookie anymore and shouldn't rated as such.

Even including his 'awesome' playoff performances with a 60.8% completion % (actually lower than Henne's reg season %), 4-2 td/int and 92 QB rating, he still only has total season stats off:

16 TDs / 22 INTS and a 68 QB rating (all still far worse than everyone else.)

He quite simply isn't an 82 ability player based on last season. SIMPLE.

Sanchez is higher then Henne bc he was playing very good in the playoffs and playoffs>reg season
I don't think you know how bad Cromartie really is. Allen didn't and didn't play enough to get burned a ton.

Playoffs? Bengals are overrated, Colt defense sucks and Sanchez sucked against the Chargers. Sanchez had no chance without the best OL, rushing, and defense.

            Myth.

First 8 games he had an 74 QB rating.

            After the bye

Last 7 games (missed 1) he had a 64 QB rating.

So he got worse as the season went on. Any other excuses for the guy?

Sanchez is a little bit overrated but, I don't get why someone said he doesn't have an A potential.

He and Stafford should have 95 and 96 potential respectively. Both have two of the highest upsides we've seen in a while.

Sure he threw a hella lot of interceptions but, even Peyton Manning led the league in interceptions his first year in the league and I'm sure no one would ever call him overrated.

So he didn't improve and look really good in the playoffs? Whatev u say. I've already sai he isn't worth an 82 but to say he didn't show improvement and upside is ignorant

Lol the Colts acfctually had a good D, I love how u just brush off 2 road playoff wins and a lead at the half of the title game. He started the year with the worse WRs in football b4 we got Braylon.

Didn't Sanchez throw like bunch load of picks and his throwing accuracy is 83? it should be in mid 70's

mark sanchez performed great in the playoffs. yes he was brutal during some of the regular season games. he single handedly lost the jets some games but he was a rookie starting from day 1.

chad henne had a full season to sit behind chad pennington and learn.

sanchez came right in and had to learn a new offense and was thrown right into the fire.

he was really good during the playoffs and that's why he is rated better then henne.

I see everyone else noticed Henne 79 vs Sanchez 82. I was like WTF????????
Do they watch the Nfl??? Gholston at 75 doesn't make sense. What's he done to get that rating. Ratings really need to be scaled back.

The Jets just ran on teams in the playoff and Sanchez touchdowns usually came from the defense biting on play action and dumping it to Keller or someone who made a play. He didn't prove anything.

None of us are saying he hasn't got potential (other than that 1 guy) but we're all saying he isn't an 82 level QB right now. He isn't better than most/all of the starting QBs he's rated higher than. None. Infact, you could make a strong argument for Stafford being rated higher than him given the help Sanchez had with quality players and the little help Stafford had yet they both put up the same numbers.

He isn't anywhere near 82. Lucky to be above 75.

didnt flacco start M10 as an 82 after his very solid rookie season? what are these ratings based on? If anything, Orton should be in the low to mid 80s, Henne should be a 80, Sanchez should be a 78.

The better Quarterback between the AFC east rivals last season was clearly Henne. The better overall team was clearly the Jets even though MIA swept them. The only explination that can be given for sanchez's overinflated rating is that his team made it to the Conf. Champ. game. other than that, Henne was better in every single QB statistic.

Last season, individually, Henne>Sanchez. this should reflect on their individual madden 11 ratings, unfortunately, Donny Moore likes to inflate individual ratings of playoff teams to make the team better, which shouldnt have to be the case. We should have another rating similar to a Chemistry rating that will allow the Jets to play better together even if Henne has a better Ovr than Sanchez

Explain to me how Cotchery receives an 85 OVR for his 57 Ctches, 820 yards, and 3 TD, While Bess had 76 catches, 760 yards and 2 TD and his overall is 11 less points.
Tell me how Brad Smith has 7 catches for 63 yards gets a 69OVR, while Brian Hartline has 39 catches for 509 yards and 3 TD, yet only gets a 71?
is underrated on MIA and Jenkins is overrated on NY. If Ronnie B's overall goes down due to his injury, than i would expect Jenkins' to as well. Just another example of slightly inflated individual ratings to reflect upon a better team overall.
