He played a lot of DE for them last year on early downs then moved inside to DT on passing downs.

I don't really understand Tebow's 90 ACC. He's not lightning quick--he's more of a patient, powerful runner, not a quick burst guy.

And why is there a THA rating? Is it just an average of the other threw accuracy ratings?

I'd say its because he isn't fast and his 4.7 40 just shows he has good acceleration. I'd be willing to be I am faster than him at top speed, but he can just accelerate better than me.

I thought the same thing until after the NFL combine. He ran a 6.66 3-cone drill, which was better than all other QB's, all RB's; including Jahvid Best, and all but two WR's; Scott Long and Emmanuel Sanders. He also ran a 4.17 20-yard shuttle; the same time Jahvid Best ran. While Tebow does not have top high-end speed, he did show his ability to accelerate extremely quickly.

BTW, the 40 yard dash is the worst way to look at how fast a player is in my opinion. When is a player going to run straight for 40 yards without having to avoid anyone or anything? TD, Jerry Rice, and Emmett Smith all ran in the 4.6's and I can't remember them getting caught from behind too often.

Other than a couple of these ratings like speed, or catching, do you really think all these other ratings like spectacular catch, or swagger will truly have any kind of impact with the action on the field?

                  They are just for show..

I have been playing football videogames for 30+ years, and I never ever remember so many people paying so much attention to player ratings like this.

i guess the times have changed..
Actually Spec catch Does have an impact on the field. I play with the Texans and Andre Johnson makes plays on the ball that are a direct result of his high spectacular catch among other attributes. I've also ran with other teams that have mid level wide outs with high spectacular catch and the results are the same. Meaning you can get a lot of one handed, diving, jumping, tipped, etc catches that you normally would not get.

Who cares about that, Tebow has a higher catch rating (62 Catch) than a majority of the low end quality receivers.

did anyone notice Tyvon Branch is one of the top safteys in the game. finally one of the lesser known Raiders getting some props after a breakout year well it took the league a few year to jump on Nnamdis bandwagon too. Even though I think Miller should be a 90 for a Tight end he does it all. I dont get too caught up in this though cause the updates will come after pre season and the day the game comes out.

That's pretty interesting. Raiders have a ton of speed at safety too without really glaring weaknesses in any other attributes (maybe PRC though I usually face user controlled safeties anyway). Looks like it'll be a tough year for breaking big plays with my Broncos.
