Letting the CPU recruit for you
This will be my first NCAA since 09. I found recruiting to be boring and time consuming. I don't wanna deal with it this time around and just play games. Is this a wise decision? Could I, in fact, end up going into a season with only 2 QBs and 15 LBs?The New England Patriots cheated to win four Super Bowls.Tags: None -

WHHHHHHHHHY would you do this. The fun comes from recruiting and finding players to fit your system. -
Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
Honestly i don't like recruiting, maybe I just don't have the attention span for it. So i always let the cpu recruit for me during the season, I do fill up the recruit board before the season though, Then i work my magic during the off season recruiting. I usually end up with a top 5 recruiting class each year if I'm a 5 or 6 star program.-Ohio State-

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
Agreed 110%. I am also only interested in playing the games and find recruiting totally boriing. Quite honestly, I don't see why people care so much about all this in depth recruiting and what not, but to each his own I suppose. I don't even bother with in season recruiting and just sim through offseason recruiting.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
I dont like it either. I just let the cpu do it and it uually does alright. Gets the recruits you'd expect for the program you're running.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
I've never let the cpu recruit for me, but recruiting does seem tedious to me. Is there a way where I can recruit 4 or 5 guys and let the cpu do the rest? I want to make it a point to get a mobile QB and a pass rushing DE, but other than that, I'll take whatever the cpu recruits for me and find a way to get byComment

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
In NCAA 10 I let the CPU recruit for me because I also thought recruiting was boring and time consuming. The CPU will do far worst then what you would be able to do on your own though.
Thankfully they made changes to recruiting this year and I am actually looking forward to it. Recruiting seems like it will be more like a mini game and I dont want the cpu to recruit for me ever again so if I were you I would wait till the game comes out and test the new recruiting system before you make your final decision.Comment

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
I usually recruit myself the first season, then after that let the computer do it. I just felt like recruiting has always been to easy and I could have NC State winning the National Chaimpionship within three years of my francise.
This year with the new system and the difficulty levels in recruiting. I might just do every year myself, since hopefully it will be more challenging.John 3:16Comment

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
I set up my board, offer schollies and manipulate my board but, I don't do all of the phone call/pitch/ promise stuff. Works fine for me.
One thing that has me concerned is on the online dynasty web site I didn't see where you could set up your board by caliber/need/interest. It may be there and I just missed it.Comment

Re: Letting the CPU recruit for you
I wish the CPU could recruit anywhere close to as good as I do...
I wish I could just set how much time to spend on each recruit and let that be it (yes, I know about autocall). Unfortunately this strategy results in being outrecruited by all my competition. You pretty much have to recruit manually if you want quality recruits.Comment
