Re: New NBA 2K11 Trailer
Yesss, I am not a fan of that dunk animation! It seems to be a common and frequent finish for all big men in 2K10 and it just does not appear natural or realistic to me. I am with in hopes that its frequency is either lessoned or the animation removed entirely.Comment

Re: New NBA 2K11 Trailer
Hopefully that nash layup doesn't carry over to 2k11..its really ugly in 2k10."I'm so far ahead of my time, I'm bout to start another life
Look behind you, I'm bout to pass you twice
Back to the future and gotta slow up for the present
I'm fast, dudes can't get past my past
How they supposed to deal with my perfect present?"Comment

Re: New NBA 2K11 Trailer
they need a good mo cap for players like paul pierce, his movement is slower now and his game is about creating space. He shouldnt be quick in 2k11 but he should be able to beat ppl off the dribble when they play up on his jumpshot. He moved way too fast in that trailer and that dunk needs to go also lol.Comment

Re: E3 Trailer
Historically, E3 just isn't the best time to showcase sports games that are months and months away from ship. Also, we have to be mindful that anything we put out there may possibly be stolen by our competition. So it's in our best interest to "hold back" the good stuff til we get closer to release. Don't worry, 2K11 is FAR from 2K10 with new animations. We're excited to talk in detail about all the gameplay improvements we've made. But for now, everyone's just gonna have to hang tight.
I can't wait to hear about the gameplay improvements.Comment

Re: New NBA 2K11 Trailer
Hey Mike aka Beluba, quick question out of curiosity. Has the reason as to why you left 2k for ea as to how 2k wouldnt take up a new animation system been fixed? All the ports from the past and just layering new animations on top of old ones was like putting whip cream on top of sh^t. Has that been fixed and the reason why you are able to return and hopefully have the success with 2k11 that youve wanted the game to be?
Yeah I remember Beluba statment about 2K after he left, I was curious about this question also.Comment

Re: E3 Trailer
I know I'm late to the party, but I'm very impressed with Beluba and Co. I don't really see anything new on the trailer, but its still just early July and NCAA, nor Madden has been released yet. Just be patient guys. Its the same thing every year, except 2k keeps getting better.
Dude took a dud of a basketball game (Live), and made it playable for me. I can't wait to see what improvements can be implemented in 2k11. As a former 2ksports.com mod, I definitely understand the secrecy necessary in the marketing game against the heavyweight.
I'm very happy for 2k as they are great sports game producers. Im looking at my 2k10 locker right now, knowing I'm going to keep it for a while, even though Kobe is on the cover.Originally posted by My Wife"The Celtics only won because they have a magical elf playing for their team...."Comment

Re: New NBA 2K11 Trailer
What I was basically alluding to in those interviews was that in 2K8, I felt like we were just adding boatloads of content on top of flawed systems rather than addressing the fundamental shortcomings of those systems. I never said anything about the engine or tech being limited or outdated. That's a topic that kind of took on a life of its own after those interviews.
Ever since we moved to this generation of consoles, we've been re-writing major parts of the game in chunks. At this point, there's almost nothing leftover from last gen. So essentially, 2K is already running on a brand new engine... and an ever evolving one.
Now, over the last couple years, the team has done a great job pushing 2K basketball further and resolving several of the issues that have plagued the series since we moved to this console gen. But there are obviously still several aspects of the game ("engine") that we weren't happy with after 2K10. When I talked to the guys about coming back, we discussed the state of the game and what needed changing. Everyone was on the same page and I was happy to hear that steps had already been taken to begin addressing my concerns.
Anyway, a lot of the legacy problems that you guys have griped about are ancient history to us. 2K11 is a facelift year for gameplay in several ways, and we're excited for you guys to see our new face.Last edited by Beluba; 07-04-2010, 01:58 PM.Comment
