Ryan Clark is underrated. He's one of the most underrated safeties in the league, though, so I'm not surprised. I'd put him at 85 at least.

Geez, can't anyone get this guy's name right? Jason Campbell. Jason.
With that said, WOW. I don't like Big Ben, but even I think that it's rediculous that Tebow and Kyle Orton have a more accurate deep ball than him...

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
Some of the Steelers' are ridiculous.
Need to go up:
Ben: By far my biggest complaint. He should be a 90 and for the 2nd straight year his Deep Accuracy and really all of his accuracy ratings are much to low. Pretty sad the Tebow ect have better deep throw acc. WTF
Mendenhall's injury rating: A 68? He played all 16 games this year and for most of his starts he was getting nearly every carry, our depth is crap. I guess one injury in his rookie year is enough to justify that?
Taylor: Won't complain too much but I think he'd be good around an 85.
Need to go down:
Starks: Should be much closer to 81 or 82 than 85. Good player, but not in the 85 and up range. Colon and him should be switched.
Hartwig: PFF rated him as the worst center. Him and Essex were our worst lineman, how does he get an 81? Should be around 77.Comment

Ive made my argument and posted my evidence.
Constructive Criticism.
Would be even higher completion is Sweed held onto all those wide open deep passes he dropped in the end zone.
Top 3 WRS.
Balti had 27 Deep balls
Pitt had 50 Deep balls.Last edited by SubZero97; 07-06-2010, 04:01 AM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
Everybody is rushing to kick us when they think we are down.....We have a lot of adversity, but its funny how they always play good when people start doubting em.
My biggest worry is Troys knee....we'll need him to help the D pick up the slack while Ben is outHere We Go Steelers!!! Here We Go!!!

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
This is so true. I think we will have great success this year. Hopefully, Polamalu will stay healthy and play at 100% because we really need him. It's almost as if Donnie is predicting our team to struggle, and basing the ratings off that, instead of prior year's performances. Otherwise, you can't explain why Big Ben's overall is so low, or why Jeff Reed is that low, or why Ryan Clark is only a 79 overall.Have an awesome day!!Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
Subzero...
Do you have stats on how many times each QB went deep, and how many times they completed said deep balls? Because for Deep Accuracy, that's really all that matters...remember, Pittsburgh had to air it out a lot last year, while Baltimore did quite a few more screens and check downs to Ray Rice...so that may be the reason for some of the disparities...but if you can find those stats, I'd be interested to see if Ben really was more accurate on the deep ball, or whether he just had to throw it deep more often to bail the team out with their sucktacular defensive play last year...
Oh, and I foresee the Steelers struggling early, but picking it up and making the playoffs.

If the ratings are all based on last year then you are right. But I do believe there is some projection of the current season involved which brings in subjective factors of the person doing the ratings.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
I dont have the stats, but his completion rating is high, and it wasnt from dink and donk completions.
The guy biggest flaw is he likes to go deep and holds the ball too long, Ben doesnt check down often.
The guy had a deep ball last year until the update and they took it away.
He went deep because our guys got open alot, and we passed alot.
Only RIvers has a higher yards per pass. He isnt going short. hes airing it out, the long completions allows his average to be high.
I watch every game, he doesnt throw short very ofter. Even Heath Miller caught deep passes/
Whatever his reason, hes a pro bowler and should be ahead of the guys I listed.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
One arument could bbe because Holmes is gone.
But they decreased Ben midway through the season last year in the update.
So bias came early.
I personally think they lower certain areas to keep the overall at bay. Ben has a deep ball at least at an 83 to 85.
Im not asking for him to be a 90 deep ball.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
Awesome posting dude. Its obvious that Donny and EA are "punishing" Ben for his off of the field actions, which IMO is wrong. The stats you laid out for all to see proves his ratings on M11 are lame.
Maybe theY feel as though they needed to even the ratings out considering the Steelers missed the playoffs last year. If thats truly the case ...and i'm not being biased in the least here, i wouldve lowered James Harrison and Max Starks a couple of notches, even Farrior at an 88 seems a bit too high imo (Harrison really faded down the stretch last year) and upped Ben to maybe a 90-92. Im truly disappointed with Ben rated an 88. Its almost insulting.
Anyways, great post and you know as well as i do that the haters will hate.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Full Player Ratings: Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
How is an 88 insulting. Thats a good rating for a good player. Ben is definitely not an elite player or a great great player. I think he is a good QB that can run an offense pretty good, but I don't think he is a great player.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Yeah true. That winning SB drive and pass magically happened on its own.
And im not going to get into an arguement as to whether or not he's elite. I'll allow his stats and SB trophies speak for themselves
