2010: Best Year for Sports Gaming?

For me, 2004 was the pinnacle year for sports gaming. We had NFL 2K5, Madden and MVP Baseball was alive and well. The only clunker was NCAA '05 which was sandwiched between the franchises glory years of '04 and '06.

So, with the awesome MLB The Show already released and the incredible promise that NCAA '11 shows, which should translate over to Madden. MJ being on the cover and more than likely in the game for 2K11 and the promise that NBA Elite shows, has there ever been a better or more exciting year?

I guess only time will tell. Seven more days until NCAA!!!

You forgot Fifa too after the World Cup buzz, and the Fifa team coming off the great success that was Fifa 10(50 Sports Game Awards) they have improved the physics engine and the passing AI in 11, so it is shaping up to be even better than 10.

Agreed with what the OP said, but I really think that NCAA is clearly going to be leaps and bounds better than Madden this year. Haven't really been impressed with what's been shown in Madden and looks they are trying to imitate what NCAA is doing.

Might very well be for me with NCAA 11, NHL 11, and MLB 10 The Show. The last time I had this much luck in a calendar year was 03/04 when I scored High Heat 2004, NHL Hitz Pro, and Madden/NCAA 2003-2004.

This year will definitely be one of the best, with ncaa 11, nhl 11, and for the first time in 7 years i might actually pick up a madden game.

i could say 11 is shaping up good. NCAA 11 is an obvious buy, i think i'll pick up one of the NBA games also. im undecided on which though.
