Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
Just like it was asked when McNabb was acquired, I'm going to ask the same question for this one as well: I wonder what the reaction would be if Vinny was still here?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
I honestly feel like SD would enter into talks knowing that in the past Washington has undervalued draft picks and could probably walk out of there with either a 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd based on Vincent Jackson's ability to pass Snyders "eye-test"
I never thought about trading away players, but I think adding Kelly would lighten that, but I'm sure SD would target Thomas over Kelly. I know I would.Moderator

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
They can ask but Snyder's not negotiating so I don't see a 1st and 3rd or anything like that happening. I also think Kelley would be more appealing considering his height (Chargers love big WRs). He's still got as much potential as Thomas, minus the injury concerns and Thomas proving it on the field (in terms of the Skins I have more confidence in Thomas bc of what we've seen, but Kelley should still have value since he hasn't played rather than hasn't performed).I honestly feel like SD would enter into talks knowing that in the past Washington has undervalued draft picks and could probably walk out of there with either a 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd based on Vincent Jackson's ability to pass Snyders "eye-test"

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
while i'd like to see this get done, i just don't see it happening. call it a hunch, and i hope i am wrong, but just can't see it. i don't think the 'skins are that team anymore, the one that just gives away draft picks like candy on halloween. if they COULD get him for a 2nd and a 3rd, i'd jump all over it, but i doubt s.d. will make any deal that doesn't include at least 1 first rounder...Comment

Redskins' receivers to join Donovan McNabb for "hell week"
Posted by Michael David Smith on July 18, 2010 12:40 PM ET
The Redskins will open training camp in Ashburn, Virginia, on July 29, but Donovan McNabb and some of his teammates are getting a head start.
Rick Maese of the Washington Post reports that receivers Devin Thomas, Santana Moss and Malcolm Kelly are among the players who have accepted McNabb's invitation to spend this week in Arizona for an intense series of workouts in the desert heat.
"I think it's important for the specialists on the offense to have that chemistry, to have that bond," McNabb said, "where they can trust me and I can trust them."
McNabb calls the workouts -- which he also did with teammates in Philadelphia -- "hell week."
"It's a different mindset," McNabb said. "I prepare guys the way I prepare."
For some players, a week of relaxation might make more sense than a week of hell right before the start of camp, but Thomas is among those expressing excitement at the opportunity to get extra work in.
"Can't nothing but good come out of the situation when you go out and work out with your quarterback before the season starts," Thomas said. "It's a great time to build that chemistry without the coaches being there. You just get a little of that extra bonding time to lead into training camp."Washington Redskins

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread
Traded for Beck from the Ravens along with releasing superman. For the record, Beck is a much better QB and is probably intended to be groomed to start when McNabb leaves... he may knock Grossman down to #3. Smart move by the skins. Now somebody tell me about who they sent back to my Ravens. I think it was a corner but didn't catch the name.Comment

Doug Dutch a CB..never heard of him
I guess I was a Brennan supporter..I liked the guy, seem like he was really working hard this offseason, especially with McNabb going to Hell week with him.Last edited by Checmate101; 08-02-2010, 03:30 PM.Washington Redskins
