Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement
Would Philly take that though? Iggy actually makes more money the next few seasons (by about a million) than Deng, and he's got a player option in the final year. That would be good for us, but it seems like Philly would getting a slightly less athletic (and much more injury-prone) player.
I like Iggy as an athlete way more than Deng, though Deng is a much better shooter. Someone mentioned Rose, Iggy, and Deng, but Deng definitely has to be a part of any trade used to get him.
We'd be kind of right back where we were though no?Comment

Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement
If the Pacers are willing to trade Granger, I think he would be an excellent fit with the Bulls considering he can shoot.
EDIT: people also question his leadership. but with rose and boozer he wouldn't have to be the MANLast edited by Weeks; 07-09-2010, 03:04 PM.Chicago Bulls

Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement
Do you think Philly would like Deng, James Johnson, and a Pick(2nd round maybe...?) for Igoudala?
Unless the excersise Johnson's contract he's off the books, and deng has 1 less year on his contract then Iggy.Chicago Bulls

Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement
I don't really see why they would do it. I don't even know if I'm that open to it happening (EDIT: Actually, I am; just on surface it didn't look like it was solving a major issue of ours but it is an upgrade in terms of athleticism).
But for Philly, people kept mentioning JJ as a good piece on the bench when discussing why the Chi would be a good destination for a max FA, and he's got promise but for some reason I don't really see him developing into much of anything. Not in the way that Taj will.
They take him, let him hit the FA, have a little extra cap space, and then what? Maybe they do if they value cap space and a pick more than what they'd be losing on the court w/ Iggy no longer on their roster. I admittedly don't know what else they have there on that team (Lou Williams, Speights, no Dalembert, Brand...?)Last edited by Murkurial; 07-09-2010, 03:27 PM.Comment

Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement
It's a done deal already:
From David Aldridge:
-The Charlotte Bobcats beat out the New Jersey Nets for the services of their free agent forward Tyrus Thomas, agreeing to terms on a five-year, $40 million deal, according to league sources. The deal is fully guaranteed with no partial language or team options late in the deal.Comment

Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement
It looks like the Bulls are aggressively trying to get Korver and returning Brad Miller. Which is fine with me. BUT how about also getting Matt Barnes and Nate Robinson?
With that team, we might not have the heavy talent like Miami, but we'd be one of the deepest teams in the league. And I would like our chances in a 7-game series against anybody. Lakers and Heat included.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment
