to me, penalties are a really touchy subject in video games, because they are largely the one part of the game you have little or no control over. yeah, if theyre included its realistic because they exist in real life, but the fact you have next to no control over when penalties happen can be the single most frustrating part of a game. if i'm on a game winning drive, and have my game winning touchdown called back because of holding, thats going to make me mad. i understand it happens in real life, but in real life its a real person who actually makes a mistake. when it happens in a video game, you, the only person controlling the game, are not making a mistake. you may do everything right to only have it taken back by something completely out of the control of everything you do.
