Re: EA started the season Aug 26 making all schedules a week off
The bigger problem with schedules is lack of rotation in 2 conferences from season 1 to 2 and the fact that a handful of teams in season 1 only play 11 games. Someone said Boise State and Nevada didn't even play eachother...the dates are the least of the many scheduling issues.Comment

I look at dates. I'm a person that notices that kind of stuff...especially with games such as the Iron Bowl and Egg Bowl that are played right after Thanksgiving in real life but on the game it is like a week or two before.Comment

I simmed an Ohio State season and the schedule rotated for year 2, so the Big Ten looks good, in my opinion.Comment

All of the BCS conferences are fine except the Pac 10 in terms of rotating schedules. I simmed a season with Rutgers, Wisconsin, Florida, FSU, Oregon & Texas and they rotated home/away. I didnt notice if the 2nd year schedules are what they will be like in real life (in terms of who the opponents are) but they at least rotated home and away games.Comment

I think the issue stems from the Hawai'i rule. When a team travels to Hawai'i the NCAA allows that team to play a 13 game season. It was fine in years past but this year they drop one conference game, so the WAC season is only 7 games instead of the real life 8. Nevada and Boise don't play in the first year of a dynasty, I'm not sure what games are dropped from other WAC teams or how it plays out into the dynasty year after year.
It also often results in two WAC teams undefeated and ranked at the end of the year. I simmed thru the first year and BOTH Nevada and Boise finished the year undefeated and in BCS bowl games. So don't go thinking that it's not an issue because it's a small conference.
Very frustrating.Comment

Re: EA started the season Aug 26 making all schedules a week off
I know EA has had some cutbacks and such to their teams but really this should not be happening. At this point none of us should have to begin our dynasty and the first thing we do is check the schedule to make sure it is correct (NCAA 12 for me). I really think this should be a priority when they release another patch. Not a video game programmer but it doesnt seem like it would be a major hassle to fix itComment

I guess somethings matter to people. IMO, this is not even an issue. But, I can see how it could be a issue for some.Moderator

Eh, I don't even look at the dates of the games anymore. This is not that big of a deal. The conferences that don't rotate their games? That is a big deal.OH...

The dates of games is not a big issue but the fact that some teams are missing conference games is a HUGE issue.Comment

U know u bring up a great point... I struggle with stuff like this... I mean really who cares about the date, its such a miniscule thing....then i think about how its just another example of the lack of attention to detail... Ur making an officially licensed ncaa football game and u cant even have the correct date to start the season? Thats what gets me... and if they're missing simple simple simple things like this, what else is being omittedComment
