Agree on both of these. Technically if I win the toss and choose to kick... the other side will get the choice first in the 2nd half! I also wish EA would program some teams to kick - or (wishful thinking) program each team's real life percentages of choosing to kick against choosing to receive.
I always defer whenever I win the toss BTW
