I have no problem with having the name labels on when at the LOS but as soon as the play is snapped, it should remove the NAME from under the selected player as it does all the other players because this big name label floats on top of the screen in front of everything including other players your near and the action which can be quite distracting once you notice this

It looks quite corny and unrealistic to see a big name covering up the gameplay action

A simple suggestion for EA would just have a toggle option that allows the selected player names/position/number to disappear after the snap.
