Okay, so Reazo and I are going to be editing Fairdale King's rosters. My understanding is he is just going to be naming every player. That is a LOT of work and its much appreciated that he would do such a task.
We have decided to take charge of editing the rosters even further.
We are going to not only edit each players ratings, but also make sure the players have the right numbers and size. Of course, not every number will be perfect since some players share numbers on offense and defense and the game doesnt like that.
We are going to be editing each players ratings based on passed performances, projected progression from last season, and a bunch of other things.
Also, we believe that a lot of the players in the game are overrated. If you check White Out's progression thread (you can view it here http://www.operationsports.com/forum...on-thread.html), then you will see that progression was pretty much fixed in this game, except for the odd numbers from the first couple of seasons with the current players. 99 and 98s become rare as they should and there seems to be a lack of A rated teams which is okay.
We are going to try to get the team ratings down to where there really are not any A overall teams. A teams should be reserved for those who are just significantly better then anyone else (great examples would be 05 Texas and USC, the teams that go undefeated but didnt just blow out everyone) . An A+ team, would be one that comes once every decade or so (examples: 2004 USC, 1995 Nebraska, 2001 Canes). An A- team would be one that is one that has a chance to go undefeated, but it would be quite the challenge. Most likely a 1 loss team but national championship favorite. B+ teams would be the BCS contenders and possible national title contenders.
I think you guys get the trend from there on out. We want to edit the rosters down so this is the case, and we will try our best to do so.
We will try to break down the players as such:
-99: Absolute superstar. That one player that just completely dominates college football and pretty rare (ex: Bush, Young, Fraiser, Suh, ect). In our minds, this player doesnt exist this year.
-98 Just the best of the best. Not quite that legendary player, but close to it. Still a rare rating, so I dont know if anyone will get it this year.
-95-97: The best of the best this year. These ratings should be reserved for the best players there are in the country at the moment. The Heisman front runners.
-90-94: The other great players. Still great chances of getting the Heisman.
So, basically we want to make these rosters as close to perfect as possible. Obviously, we cant do it by ourselves. We need everyones help.
Matt will be doing the east coast teams and I will be doing the west. He will start with the East when the rosters come out tonight (hopefully) and then I will finish with the west.
If you guys already notice things that wrong, feel free to let us know (even though the rosters are not out yet), since I believe all Fairdale is editing is the default rosters.
We will also be adding and subtracting late transfers to get the rosters as perfect as possible. Examples: the three UCLA players that got kicked off the team, the recent USC tranfers to their respective schools, Masoli out, and any other players that have gotten kicked off, suspended, ect.
We will also try to edit the rosters once every two weeks during the season to try to perfect the rosters as the players are performing during the season.
Once again guys please help us out with as much as possible by posting anything that needs to be fixed. We are trying to get these done by friday night or saturday.
Thanks in advance for the help.
