    DOSMedia4SC/Reazo's Rating Edited rosters...

    (xbox 360):
    Okay, so Reazo and I are going to be editing Fairdale King's rosters. My understanding is he is just going to be naming every player. That is a LOT of work and its much appreciated that he would do such a task.
    We have decided to take charge of editing the rosters even further.
    We are going to not only edit each players ratings, but also make sure the players have the right numbers and size. Of course, not every number will be perfect since some players share numbers on offense and defense and the game doesnt like that.

    We are going to be editing each players ratings based on passed performances, projected progression from last season, and a bunch of other things.

    Also, we believe that a lot of the players in the game are overrated. If you check White Out's progression thread (you can view it here http://www.operationsports.com/forum...on-thread.html), then you will see that progression was pretty much fixed in this game, except for the odd numbers from the first couple of seasons with the current players. 99 and 98s become rare as they should and there seems to be a lack of A rated teams which is okay.

    We are going to try to get the team ratings down to where there really are not any A overall teams. A teams should be reserved for those who are just significantly better then anyone else (great examples would be 05 Texas and USC, the teams that go undefeated but didnt just blow out everyone) . An A+ team, would be one that comes once every decade or so (examples: 2004 USC, 1995 Nebraska, 2001 Canes). An A- team would be one that is one that has a chance to go undefeated, but it would be quite the challenge. Most likely a 1 loss team but national championship favorite. B+ teams would be the BCS contenders and possible national title contenders.
    I think you guys get the trend from there on out. We want to edit the rosters down so this is the case, and we will try our best to do so.

    We will try to break down the players as such:

    -99: Absolute superstar. That one player that just completely dominates college football and pretty rare (ex: Bush, Young, Fraiser, Suh, ect). In our minds, this player doesnt exist this year.

    -98 Just the best of the best. Not quite that legendary player, but close to it. Still a rare rating, so I dont know if anyone will get it this year.

    -95-97: The best of the best this year. These ratings should be reserved for the best players there are in the country at the moment. The Heisman front runners.

    -90-94: The other great players. Still great chances of getting the Heisman.

    So, basically we want to make these rosters as close to perfect as possible. Obviously, we cant do it by ourselves. We need everyones help.
    Matt will be doing the east coast teams and I will be doing the west. He will start with the East when the rosters come out tonight (hopefully) and then I will finish with the west.

    If you guys already notice things that wrong, feel free to let us know (even though the rosters are not out yet), since I believe all Fairdale is editing is the default rosters.

    We will also be adding and subtracting late transfers to get the rosters as perfect as possible. Examples: the three UCLA players that got kicked off the team, the recent USC tranfers to their respective schools, Masoli out, and any other players that have gotten kicked off, suspended, ect.

    We will also try to edit the rosters once every two weeks during the season to try to perfect the rosters as the players are performing during the season.

    Once again guys please help us out with as much as possible by posting anything that needs to be fixed. We are trying to get these done by friday night or saturday.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

        His rosters are just based off how the depth is at default, since he doesnt change player ratings (I dont blame him since he is naming everyone).

        We will be doing depth charts. We will be using other users input to help us get these right. We are also using magazines with projected depth charts to get everything as close to accurate as possible.

            Hey I wanted to make sure ya'll knew that the Brown brothers transferred to Kansas St. Arthur Brown MLB from Miami and Bryce Brown RB from Tennessee. They were five star recruits back to back years. Anyways I guess they wanted to play together, but I can't find any rosters with them on it. So I want to give you the heads up, and I continue to look for spring football reports about them.

              Awesome, this is the type of help we are looking for.

              Did they just transfer and have to sit out next year?

                Thanks for the help, We have decided to put these 2 in but they must redshirt because they were regular transfers not SC transfers.

                  That could be what happened, because it was from D1 to D1. Their "family issues" might not have been a legit enough reason to not sit out. But the articles I have read at scout.com, haven't said anything about them sitting out this year. I'll keep searching.

                        1)Fremont, CA not Simi Valley.

                        2)He tore his ACL in January and the trainers decided it is better if he took the year off. I don't know what to do with that.

                        3)
                        Break Tackle->83
                        Stiff Arm->89
                        Spin Move->85

                        This bumps his overall up from an 83 to an 86. Much more suitable IMO.

                          At the end, we will be throwing together a list of transfered players (list it here) that we recommend you guys redshirt in your dynasties for complete realism. We dont want to leave these players out, because after a year then they would just be missing.

                          I believe the game just completely leaves out the players that have transfered and have to sit out a year, which is a little dumb to me and hopefully that can be fixed in the future. We will do our best to address every transfer but could use more help.

                            Players usually do not get better after an injury of that nature. Usually their agility and acceleration takes a hit.
                            However, this is a guy that averaged 6.3 ypc last year and 1300 yards, so an 83 is a little low for that.

                            I will probably lower his agility and accel a little but bump those up. Also, when players tear a knee, their ligaments are much more susceptible to having more problems. Therefore, I will lower his injury a little as well.

                            As for home towns, I dont think we are really going to touch those, since every player in the game has a randomly generated home town (states matter though) and not every town is in the game.

                            Thanks man, I probably would not of known about his injury or the actual ability of this guy.

                              for Nebraska's roster

                              crick is a 92 and he's regarded up there near marvin austin who is a 97...crick should pry be closer to 94-95

                              amukumara is regarded as one of the top corners and at 92 he is less than alabama true soph dre kirkpatrick who is a 95...somethings gotta give

                              chase harper isnt coming, braylon heard should be in january so i'd keep him

                              i'd get rid of token LBs camarata and stoddard and lester ward...taking those 3 + harper + the 2 open spots gives you 5 free spots(since for some reason you can only have 69 players)

                              with those 5 free spots i'd look at creating andrew green, dijon washington, kenny bell, ciante evans, jay guy

                              i also think our top 3 QBs are rated too high as well...lee 84 green 82 martinez 81

                              if you really want to nitpick the roster PM and let me know...i can tell you where the OL players should correctly be and how to setup the defense for our new peso formation
