Noob question..

If I just want to play a "season" do I choose Manager Mode or Live Season 2.0? I don't have the knowledge - at this point - to embark on controlling my teams finances, but I also don't want my players to be subjected to their "real life" performances - any thoughts?

Season mode allows you to just choose your lineup and play the games while Manager mode makes you deal with finances transfers and injuries. Play season mode or go through tournment mode and choose a league to play just the dulled down version.

And season is the Live Season, correct? Is that "real life update" something you can disable?

They charge for it, so I think not paying should do it.

Live Season is the season you play during RL against other players I think which is not what I am talking about (I still haven't jumped to next gen yet so on PS2 we don't have Live Season). There should be just a regular season mode or just go to the tournament mode and do that although it will only be 1 season I think.
