    My Player: Vertical

So I have been upping up my vertical for my 6'4 Point Guard who is a Scorer. I am confused on whether I should be upping up my dunk or vertical. I know dunking means you'll have different styles of dunks you can do but having a vertical at 80 means that you will be able to dunk right? Comments

If you've not yet been able to dunk, then you need to improve your dunk rating.. otherwise you won't be able to do so.
Vertical is good for many things, for example getting rebounds and blocking shots!

I am at a 42 dunk and a 56 vert. If I bring my vert to an 80... will I dunk

If I'm not mistakin' right now (didn't play the game for about 3 months), you'll be able to dunk when the dunk rating is at or above 50... but I'm pretty sure about that!

Try it in a quick exhibition match..

Vertical doesn't have to do anything about it...

Maybe it increases the chance of not getting blocked, but the animations are predestined so that may also be only wishful thinking^^

Vertical helps you to be able to take off from further out as well as the other things already mentioned. Dunk rating effects how often you go for dunks as well as style. Get your dunk rating up to a 65 if you want to dunk on a regular basis.

...and it also affects the players' hang-time
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

My vertical is 71 and dunk is 41 and Im 6'4 and I can dunk as mentioned above^^^^
Only on fastbreaks and clear lanes

If I wanted to make a player to start out like T-Mac did...wat should I make his play style? Athletic or Scorer?
                    Forget Kobe & LeBron!

                    Dwayne Wade is the G.O.AT.!!

T-Mac was always known for scoring...

I'd go with athletic if you want your career to start the way t-mac's did, also attributes related to scoring don't cost as many skill points as attributes related to athleticism.

Mid-range is very easy to improve, I had mine up to an 80 by the time the season started, and still had room to improve other attributes. 3 point shooting takes a little dedication but not nearly as much as dunk, speed, quickness and vertical would.
