Great players you saw in HS

I was thinking about what great college/NFL players I was able to witness play in HS, so I got bored and came up with a list.

Robert Griffin - Copperas Cove HS - Saw all of his playoff games in 07 and 08.
Matt Stafford - Highland Park HS - Got to watch him a couple of times. Once as a sophomore vs. Graham Harrell and once beating down my school in district.
Graham Harrell - Ennis HS - In a playoff game against Stafford's team.
Russel Shepard - Cyrpess Ridge - Wached him in probably the greatest football game I have ever seen live. He fumbled though and lost the game for them.
Charles Tillman - Copperas Cove - I would have only been like 8 or 9 when I saw him, but I saw him.
Dabryan Blanton - Forney HS - Yall may not have heard of him unless you follow HS football, but he is one of the best Texas HS running backs ever, but stopped after HS to focus on track.
Miami Northwestern - Saw them vs. Southlake Carroll
Cedric Benson - Midland Lee - Saw him tear up in a playoff game back in the day.

Three best players I saw and played against in HS were Napolean Kauffman, Jamie Martin and Mark Brunell..

Also saw Rashan Salaam play in HS, he was unstoppable.

Locally, I got to see Micheal Vick and Aaron Brooks.

Brooks was actually more impressive due to the Ferguson HS team he played for being horrible without him. Vick actually went there freshman year but transfered to a stronger Warwick team.

Also of note Allen Iverson lead Bethel HS to a state Championship as QB...but He wasn't as good as Brooks or Vick in my opinion.

Kind of a funny side note, I played ball at the same school Al Toon went to years earlier but to note how bad/sad we were...Toon only caught one pass his senior year despite being a WR.

Coming from Vermont, it would be Nate Long a RB from Burlington HS. Google him, his senior season set an unbreakable state record for yards rushing in a season and at the time was in the Top 10 nationally for yards in a season. Last play of his HS career he destroyed his knee and never recovered. He played a year at UMass then transferred down to D3.

Tomlinson and Johnson went to school in Waco (two different schools though) and Cosby with to Mart which is about 20 miles from Waco. Even though Cosby played in 2A (which is small) he was a beast on offense and defense.

Did you ever get to see RGIII when he was at Cove? I know he played probably 75% of his playoffs games at Waco Memorial.

I went to HS with Lofa Tatupu and saw him play QB and LB at King Philip.. Being from a small town in Mass, he's the only one that I would know of from this area

I saw Bernard Berrian, because I went to the same school. (Atwater) They made it to the section championship game three years in a row and lost all three.

Saw Adrian Peterson play for Palastine High. He was a one man wrecking crew and basically made a team that probably would have been 2-8 or 3-7 a playoff team.

The greatest game I ever saw was Vince Young's Houston Madison High play against North Shore in the Houston Astrodome. That stadium's turf was basically like a track and faster players were even faster in there. I think the score of that game ended something like 56-49.

Played against Cedric Benson when I was a freshman in high school. Were were tied at halftime, then he went off for 220 yards after halftime.

Jaquizz Rodgers wasn't half bad at Lamar Consolidated High, now that I remember now.

I'm to young to see anyone to great, but I met and go to school with....

Kevin Koger- Starting TE for Michigan right now.
Kenny Hayes- 4* DE commited to Ohio State.
Chris Wormley- DE. Only entering his Junior season, but will end up at a big D1 school. Offer on the table from Ohio State already.


And if we're talking basketball, while we're at it, LeBron James.
