in NCAA '08 and 10, I played as Middle Tennessee State ad eventually got to the SEC.Comment

All of these schools are in the same states as SEC schools. Bring up the caliber of the program is the first step in the SEC invite, but in years' past, I've found that regularly beating SEC schools in your non-conference games is helpful.
For instance, playing as Southern Miss...
Win C-USA season after season.
Beat Ole Miss and Mississippi State, season after season.
Play other top 25 programs for your other non-conference games, as this helps you get into the top 25 and get better bowls.
This helps improve your school's prestige. Also, it works to slightly lower the prestige of Ole Miss and Mississippi State (as they're losing to a C-USA team every year). Eventually you'll get in.Comment

I started up a Dynasty with Miami just for kicks. I automatically moved them to the SEC switching them with Vandy. When I played my first game at home though, I didnt get the SEC logo on the field. It had neither ACC or SEC on the field. It also still had the ACC CANES logos on the sideline.Comment
