Have you started your Dynasty or are you holding out for a progression fix?

What boat are you in? I see a lot of people have started there Dynasty's, are you guys just going to roll with how progression is this year or just starting to have something to do until a possible fix?

And for those who haven't started, is progression holding you back from starting?

I wanna get some opinions on this before I start. Is it really that bad?

what is wrong with progression in NCAA 11? it's tons better than the last few years where there where a ton of teams are rated in the "A's" after a few seasons.

plus, if progression is patched later on, just like it was in NCAA 10, you probably wont have to start over anyway.

From everything I have read, progression is actually realistic now.

I dont want to recruit a bunch of 2 & 3-star guys and have a team full of high 80s and low 90s players 4 years later.

There's an issue with progression? Do you guys know how it works and what the game takes into account when progressing players? I haven't seen anything on this and I'm really curious.

Yeah I agree, I really like how players progress this year. Occasionally it would be nice to see a one or two star recruit get to be in the high 80s or even 90s but other than that it is nice to see that it takes real talent to make your team into an A this year.

I've already started mine (well I'm about to re-start it) but it doesn't really matter to me. I rarely play a dynasty or franchise past about five years. By the time it gets to be a problem, I'm ready to start a new one or retire my copy of the game.

I think he is saying that he doesn't like the way players only progress an average of 3 points a year or something close to that. Like I said before I don't think this is really a problem, just makes you work harder to get a great team in recruiting. Im not sure what it takes into account for progression.

Oh okay, thanks man. I'm still about 6 games away from finishing my first season so I haven't been able to look at the progression. What gets taken into account when progressing players seems like a real mystery, I've asked many times and no one seems to have an answer .

There's nothing wrong with progresion, players progress realistically and now seeing truly elite players are rare. If they were to make progression like NCAA 10 this game would be the first on my trade in list.

Completely and totally agree. From everything I've seen and the tests that have been run by members of the OS community, it looks like the dev team made a great adjustment from last year.

Yeah, it really feels good to finally land a few 5 star recruits after several seasons of building your team up and see them come into your team and really make a difference. I think it will help the best teams stay good as long as they keep getting those top prospects in and lets the good teams separate from the average ones

I'm not a fan of the progression at all, it looks like once again, EA can't find the middle ground, either players are too high, or they're too low. The problem is, as already mention in another thread, is that the incoming recruits awareness is so low that all players begin to act like idiots on the field, or at least from my personal experiences, and to add to that, there aren't enough kickers, and most of them are terrible, and in year 4 of my dynasty, there's only one team rated higher than a straight B.

What i want is some sort of progression slider maybe, if something like that can even be done, That way we don't have to rely on the devs to do it, but can find our own preference. If you want a B+ to be the highest rated team you see, that's great, you guys are all set, but it'd be nice for others to have a choice.

This is exactly it. The progression is perfect, but the incoming recruits have too low of awareness and it really lowers the level of talent across the whole NCAA within 5 years of a dynasty.

Progression is one of the best things about this years game. No patch necessary

This is what needs to be patched instead of the actual progression, as having that low of awareness across the board creates some problems.

Of course if they didn't raise the awareness rating of incoming recruits, the only other solution would be to have their awareness progress in larger increments each year.
