I wasn't sure if it was a way to make your players sell-out versus the run in the early part of the play rather than watching your CBs back-pedal or run with a WR with his back facing the play while the ball-carrier has the ball. Sort of like in real life when the coaching staff and your teammates on the sideline yell "PASS!" or "RUN!"

From what you guys describe though, it sounds like a dangerous feature to use.
