split second delay after the snap?

First post so I apologize if this should be somewhere else - but, I have been having a problem with a split second delay right after the ball is snapped (online or offline). It typically starts after halftime - and really throws off timing patterns into the flats or on slant patterns (don't even get me started on it jacks up kicking)

Just curious if it's happening to anyone else.

Re: split second delay after the snap?

I've read this a few times here now, and a couple other places.

I don't know if it's a HD issue or a dvd/bluray drive issue or whatever..

I initially thought it was intentional to give both sides a chance to "see" the play right after the snap, at least in terms of where linemen were. But it has become sparratic of when, right after the snap, it happens. I've heard both xbox and ps3 suffers from it.

Oddly enough though online I haven't seen it at all, so I still haven't concluded a cause.

I heard one person say installing it on 360 fixed it, didn't hear any confirms on that though. And PS3 doesn't have the install option.

I will say though I've come to love it, as I can adjust my runner when control resumes based on what I saw. But it's length/when exactly it occurs seems to be random, so I doubt it's intentional. And it is a big pain on quick throws or any quick off the snap play for that matter.

I have the game installed on my Xbox 360 HD, and I've never seen any kind of delay in any offline game mode (I don't play online).

Re: split second delay after the snap?

Are the people who are experiencing the freezing down the road in the recruiting screen the same who are installing the game? Because now that I think about it a lot of the folks who have reported the problem I could have almost sworn said they had the game installed... no?

Sorry to hijack, just curious. I've never heard of installing games on xbox before. What are the benefits to that?

P:s: I get the delay but I just account for it, never really had much of a problem with it as unless I get all sorts of off on timing.

I am pretty sure I figured out the problem on the ps3 side of things anyways. I had upgraded to a 500 gig hard drive and was noticing the slowdown you guys are talking about pretty much every couple of plays. After switching back to my original 60 gig all the symptoms are gone. It really does not make sense but I have yet to run into a single problem since going back to the hard drive that came with my ps3.
