LSU, fans what is Geaux? How do you even say that word? Where did it come from?

It's the Louisiana take on saying Go.
In French eaux makes an 'oh' sound. So it's just another way of saying Go, with kind of a French take on it.
Consider the French influence in Louisiana and it makes sense.

I am not sure of the origins but I just believe it is the "Cajun way" of saying "Go Tigers."

Correct, it's just Go spelled differently.

Thanks....I think if I was a LSU fan making a sign for the game I think I would just write it as Go - much easier that way lol

Bama fan here.. "geaux" is a french/creole/cajun word play on "go". Such as "geaux tigers" used a LOT with LSU affiliated merch.
