Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
If you up the pass rush slider you wont have that much time to be pump faking, that will make it more difficult. -
Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
In one thread we've got guys talking about DBs "mirroring" WRs to the point that passing is too hard; in another we've got guys talking about the pump-fake makes passing too easy.
Just pointing that out.
In my opinion/experience "too easy" is hyper-relative: sliders, difficulty level, length of game, on top of the gamer's stick skills, the phrase almost doesn't even have any meaning.
I mean, bottom line, if you really think it makes things too easy, stop doing it.Comment

Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
pump faking is NOT easy on this game
2 reasons
1.Gameplan can always make zone coverage and pass defense balanced or conservative making the pump fake's effect minimal if not non existent
2.the pressure on this game can really be nasty so after you've pump faked then throw it could really be too late
ALONG WITH PSYCHIC man coverage idk how anyone feels the pump fake is too strong if you've been playing with pressure/ coverages I've been facingComment

Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
The defender you should see biting are the safeties in deep zone coverage.
In a cover 1, for example, the single safety should bite. In cover 2, a pump fake left-ish should make the left safety bite, freeing up some space in the middle (but the right safety should stay home).
In cover 3, you should see the center safety bite, and the side safeties bite a little depending on where you threw it.
Also, against a zone D is when you see the most bites.Comment

Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
The safeties should bite, but they almost never do, at least for me the only time they ever bite is on fade routes. I use it to counter the Overpowered Man coverage, usually the line backers are the ones who bit the hardest.-Ohio State-

Slider set I've been using (Versuz2's sliders) allow very limited amount of time in the pocket to be pump fakingComment

Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
If you're an experienced NCAA player and playing on any of the defaults besides Heisman then the game will probably have some areas that are easy. This is why hardcore players like us use sliders to try to adjust the game to more realistic levels. Why do people continually make these stupid threads over and over? Just use the search function or common sense, maybe even post it in a thread that's already open. Cluttering up the boards with this is nonsense.Comment

Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
well if you havent noticed, most d-linemen and lb's an immediately stop their assignment and bat down your pass over the middle. so ya, the pump fake works too well. if the ai wants to cheese you that way you cheese them right back with the pump fakes. nothing like seeing the whole front seven jump at the same time when i do it.Comment

Re: Is pump faking too strong on this game?
I have not seen more than a couple occasions where the pump fake did not lead to me getting sacked as the animation itself takes too long .... on those rare occasions - it did work in pulling the safety...
I have since adjusted my sliders (eliminating the "psychic db") so I simply read, make my drop and throw which leads to a very realistic :03-.04 seconds to get rid of the ball.Comment
