Best NBA Street Game?

I was sitting around thinking a little while ago about the Street series.

NBA Street was the first, and was very entertaining. Didn't really have a lot of extras from what I remember.

It had the street legends, but as far as NBA Legends, I don't remember too many other than 1 Jordan.

NBA Street 2 had a HUGE variety of NBA and Street Legends, including not one, not two, but THREE Jordans I believe.

NBA Street 3 had what I would call the best career mode out of all 4, but no Jordan.

NBA Street Homecourt was a nice idea. The first one on next-gen. But I just wasn't a huge fan of the way it was set up.

What do you guys think? Which one's the best? I'm playing NBA Street 3 right now, but I'm definitely thinking NBA Street 2 is the best just because of the vast amount of NBA and Street Legends, as well as other unlockables.

NBA Street 2 without a doubt. It was the funniest and had the Three MJ's in the game. That game brought me some good times. Would play it ever single day and wouldn't get bored. Does anybody know what store would still possibly sell the game?

Gamestop. I checked my local ones, and they all have a copy of NBA Street and NBA Street 2. Seriously thinking about going and picking them up if they're in decent condition. Stayed up all night last night playing Volume 3's career mode that I had started a long time ago. My nickname is Stair Well. I don't remember why though. :-p

NBA Street 2 had all sorts of neat custom shots that you could perform, and that's a feature I really missed in NBA Street 3. I never played Homecourt because I heard it's not as good as the previous iterations.

This really isn't really about the NBA Street series, but I played countless hours of NBA Ballers 1 back in the day. I was like 10 when it came out, so I can't really say if it was a good game because every game is awesome when you're 10.

OK, since somebody else mentioned a different street title... I just loved Street Hoops. I played this game a lot! It was so fun!!! I liked it much more than any of the NBA Street games.

Volume 2 all that way. That is the game that got me back into playing video games. The rest is history.

Gave away every ps2 title I had except SSX3 and NBA Street Vol 2. Reading this thread actually inspired me to find it, only realizing that my ps3 wont play it

Definitely Street Vol. 2 had great gameplay, great soundtrack, and a great character selection.

Not to mention the create a character was cool and all the different moves and shots were fun to use too. That game was the most memorable one for me I used to play that one all the time.

This really isn't really about the NBA Street series, but I played countless hours of NBA Ballers 1 back in the day. I was like 10 when it came out, so I can't really say if it was a good game because every game is awesome when you're 10.

Yea, I liked NBA Ballers as well. Very good game, but I thought it could've been better, but the sequels to it didn't improve it. It went downhill.

I actually never played Street Hoops. I saw it all the time in game stores but just never did pick it up. What was better about it?

Same here, except I kept NBA Street V.3 because I can't find Volumes 1 and 2. And I kept ESPN NFL 2K5, and Guitar Hero games. Oh, and NFL Street 2.

My PS2 stopped working, and I sold my Backwards compatible 80GB PS3 and bought a 250 GB Slim.

Then I realized I wanted to play 2K5 and Street. So I went and bought a PS2 from Gamestop. :-p

To each his own. This game wasn't about jumping 30ft. in the air, it was about street basketball with real dunks and physics + sick street moves, and it featured some of the And1 legends. I think it was a 5 on 5 game...but I don't remember for sure by now. I just never really liked those NBA Jam style dunks, I got bored after one game. Again, to each his own.

Yea. If I can find a copy, I might try it out. It looked like a good game, but I just didn't have the money to try out an unknown game when it came out. Wasn't making enough allowance. lol

Not sure you'd like it today. You know, it's pretty old...from 2002 or 2003. The graphics seem today ridiculous, though back then I liked it (not as much as I liked 2K's and NBA Street's graphics, though).
It's hard to try a game that you have never played - 8 years later. You'll never be able to measure it in the right context...if you know what I mean.
