I just cannot get over how many broken tackles are in this game it is ridiculous. Addai just stiff armed KRIS JENKINS after Jenkins had a beat on the play and met him in the backfield and it was a crucial stiff arm kinda like how McGahee did to the raiders last year this kinda stuff really pisses me off

Is Man coverage just as affective as it was in Madden 10 or it is better or worse?

Why is the deep ball back? Are the WRs getting more separation, or are they going up after the ball more then before?

I'm really curious as to how Man Coverage is now, I remember at first on 10 it was horrible, then they patched it and it became a little better. But on most routes the WR would beat the DB pretty easy vs Man. Or there were certain plays that would beat man coverage every time.

      Thanks
On default settings, from what I seen, I don't see separation at all. If anything the CB runs in front of you in your route lane like they are the WR. And they can jump pretty high too.

How is the strategy pad innovative? That's just an example, but there are others. I would rather have had them make the gameplay much smoother, much like NCAA did this year. The players still feel very robotic and the animations are not very improved. When i played the NCAA demo I must admit, I was pretty blown away. The camera view was excellent as well and it seemed like you were closer to the action. Player models were awesome too. The madden visuals seemed to be lacking and lifeless. Very disappointing
Who said the strategy pad was innovative? From those I trust it seems once you get used to it you will be actually faster doing the moves. What it boils down to is people don't want thier little Madden world messed with but scream to high heaven they want changes.

So basically EA needs to only make changes that don't change anything....
That's called fluff and when they did just that they were also vilified for that.

Gameplanning and gameflow IMO are examples of moving the game forward yet we had posters who had ZERO clue what gameplanning/gameflow were all about ....so they start the "gimmick!" talk....

        EA can't win for losing.

I mean the first 2 words in the tagline for this season are "Simpler. Quicker." .. They weren't lying.

I thought Madden 10 was a step in the right direction but it seems like they just rushed this one out to begin work on Madden 12. The MLB The Show series has spoiled me on what I think next generation presentation should look like. The look, the feel of that game, the fact that someone could walk in and stare at the TV for 5 minutes without realizing it's a video game... That's what I expect. Graphic wise, this game doesn't look any different than Madden 09 and from the demo, it doesn't play anywhere near as solid as NCAA 11.

agree 100% and people are getting mad cuz we are comparing this game to NCAA if im not mistaking NCAA is the only other legit football we can compare madden to and both teams work under the same name. yes Madden is better then last year but NCAA has surpass Madden 10 and 11

I hate to keep asking but I am stuck at work and have no access to the game until late tonight. Can someone please check to see if 2 player coop is possible in the demo? I would really appraciate it. I play coop 99.9% of the time and hope i can experience the demo the same way I plan to play the retail game. Thanks in advance.

Same - and I'd agree. I think the NCAA models are based off the original Madden '06 models, just evolved. They were way too big even up to last year, but proportionately pretty well done. This is the first year next gen I've thought the NCAA models looked good. I think it was Madden '09 when the two games "split" and started having their own distinct look. Unfortunately the bobblehead-likeness on Madden isn't a good look. Could be in part because they're trying to highlight too much facial detail in Madden, so the heads are slightly exaggerated to bring more attention/notice

              And boy does it lol

That's what I also thought when they first announced coach tips errrrrrr I mean gameflow. But, they have to act like they added something to the game to distract from the horrible game engine.

Ugh...Im really trying to get used to this freaking Strategy pad....but so far I hate it and its sapping all my enjoyment of some the other improvements

Im really disappointed at how little this game has progressed over the years compared to other NG sports games...but I have had a pretty good time with NCAA and was looking forward to buying this years version........

but this srategy pad bs is really annoying the hell out of me....I play with the Steelers and my D schemes revolve around audibling and confusing the CPU AI before the snap.....

Lets face it on the higher difficulties of Madden......the CPU knows your plays......and its critical to have audibles and the ability to Hot Route blitzes and Zone Coverages quickly.....especially given how fast those SOB CPU Qbs snap the ball

If EA is going to make a change like that, I think they need to leave the old controls in there

Im not going to be able to buy this game if I can't do my adjustments as quickly as I used to

I do really like the demo and the game! i think its better than last year game play wise. Characters look weird but i think its cause like someone said earlier that its because NCAA looks soo good this year. if it wasnt for NCAA we might be thinking madden is a lot better than we say it is (or dont)

Played an entire game, not really impressed; feels a lot like 10. I liked 10 a lot but this is a whole new year, i think i played 10 enough throughout las year. The lighting is definitely very impressive, but nothing else has really changed. The whole momentum thing...i don't even feel or see it.

This is definitely a year where i might skip out on the game. I was actually sort of bored playing it lol

It doesn't matter what anyone posts because, according to you, if they have issues with the game, they are completely wrong or they are "bitching". Many people DID want a lot of changes simply because the game doesn't play particularly well to many folks. Judging by the consensus on these impressions, there is a lot of disappointment. I'm not going to try to paint a picture that isn't there. I call it like I see it. Much of the gameplay was not very much improved. I've never really been an NCAA player or fan, but after playing the demo for that game, I had high hopes for the same type of gameplay to show up in Madden. I know they added locomotion, but I honestly didn't notice it much.

Just because I really WANTED Madden to be this great revelation in football gaming, I'm not going to try to convince myself that it is just because I don't want to accept what it really is. Like the saying goes, "it is what it is".

The pump fake thing really irks me. I pump fake trying to get the Linebacker to bite over the middle he dosent i throw it any pass deflected. I go to look at the replay and the Safety covering a CORNER route bit hard as did the corner on the opp side of the field

I will say that I very much like the idea of a strategy pad, but I haven't played the demo yet...and I didn't like the old pre-snap controls , frankly...I thought ps2's were ok, 2k's were better...I'm open to change, and I think the demo's gettin' hated on a lot for this, and it's something we'll all be used to in 3 weeks.
