2 things:

1) Why change the kick meter? One of the little pop-ups claims it will better represent your kickers skill but could they not have incorporated this into the old kick meter by making it go at random speeds for not-so-great kickers and a consistent one for good kickers?

2) Just like the rest of you I am not a fan of the strategy pad. Why remove what was already in place?

I dont freakin understand EA! I mean how is this hard stuff, Ok EA it seems that you guys dont thnk about normal stuff like.

1. How hard is it to record a dozen different endings to the superbowl? Come on! Seriously make the commissioner move different in some!

2. Announcing!!! Listen have any of you guys at EA ever watched a football game? We don't care about name guys in the booth!!! Just go and get 12 or 15 different no name voice actor teams and have em each do games so during a season you getting different feels. Chris Collinsworth doesn't do every game in real life!! Make up your own damn networks if you have to!

3. Ok you have had the ESPN license for how long??? Why does NFL 2k5 still have a better espn presentation than you!

EA hides the fact they are not creative or they are lazy by using the shield of game play! "Oh we are just concentrating on game play!" Really? Well whoever was concentrating on strategy pad needs to go work in the cafeteria!

EA ignores a lot. I am not even gonna get into franchise! I know you guys are hampered by old code but man you are starting to sound like you guys work for Microsoft! I mean damn let me change teams at least!

Why cant they get announcing right? Why cant they create 25 diffrent measuring scenes with the refs? Why? Why? Why? they never tell us why!!!!!

I really love gameflow great addition!

Disagree. It made me feel like I was playing a Wii game. The game overall feels a lot better as far as tighter control but overall it isn't that different.

Glad to see they finally put in stadium chants, but I seriously thought that it was a back of the box (non)feature in 08 or 09. <--- Am I wrong here?

I would say this is a used only purchase for anyone that HAS TO HAVE NFL football this year. Otherwise, wait for next season.

This is a rent first in every sense of the word(s).

Well fellas after playing a few more games I can safely say, now, that EA is moving in the wrong direction once again. I truely thought they were goinng to take Madden 10 and build from that but they aren't building, they are going backwards.

To change a scheme that has worked for a long time (strategy pad) is just mind boggling. And then on top of that to say "it's for the nano blitzers" is just downright ridiculous.

Why can't they just fix the nano blitzing instead of being lazy and taking the band-aid route? This along with the tackling, the animations, the morphing, the audio team with the commentary, plus some other annoyances is just dissapointing.

If they are taking a year or years off from working on franchise then we expect the gameplay to be MUCH improved. But sadly, it isn't. There's just too many things wrong with the basic engine that it needs to be completely ripped up, thrown out and then re-done.

EA it's time to hire some contractors that not only know game design, but know football.

(I wasn't redesigning plays from scratch at the line which, I suspect is the hart of the complaint here.)

I think I was clear that I find it difficult to rememorize buttons.

I mentioned some old feautures about redesigning plays, but that really has nothing to do with why I dislike of the presnap pad. My PS2 reference about being able to take one formation and switch to another while keeping the same routes has been gone for awhile now. I liked it because certain routes can only be found in one formation of a playbook.

I think this game is like an addiction for some people. It's bad but people keep talking about it. They even keep saying the same things over and over. Just a bit of advice, but I just wouldn't play this game anymore. I think I'm done... EA basically releases the same stuff every year. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I honestly think EA caters to a certain crowd who buys their games, and thinks we are all stupid. There is absolutely no creativity in this game. The thing is NCAA is the same engine but it's sort of fun. Unfortunately even that game has serious issues. It's basically the same game sped up to make it more fun. It's the same game. Unfortunately it has serious framerate issues. I bought it. It was a waste. I can't do this anymore. That game was rushed and I would be a fool to then go out and get Madden. That's what they want. They do this every year. At least the framerates are solid in this game. But it's so stale it's ridiculous. Where have the creative juices gone? EA is basically a machine and it's like they just took last years game, put a better coating on it, and added a bunch of features that noone wanted that are completely useless. IT's not an issue with getting used to the strategy pad or kick meter. It's just who cares? EA are a bunch of drama queens who get attention from people when they repeatedly don't do what people want.

All i have to say is i hate the kicking system took me back bout 5yrs.

Overall game is good. still think players with high accl rate should be noticeable diff in speed not seeing any burst.

My colts are amazing.

Agreed. Some people making good points but for the most part a lot of the same stuff over and over. Not easy at all to find a simple answer.

For EA to be in a 'can't win situation' like you claim, the only logical conclusion is that the community is split over the change. Your posts assumes people wanted it. By community I mean Madden buyers.

If noone wanted the changes, then apparantly EA already had it right.
