Let me ask you EA are those football fans your listening to or are you taking advice from the foreign exchange intern in the mail room!

You guys are making this harder than it needs to be. Just suck up your stupid pride, hire a real dev team and some real football people and give e the ship! You can't listen to madden! Yeah I said it! He is like 90 and all this stuff looks great to him! My grandfather worked in the Auto Business for 40 years and still calls my cousins Dodge Neon a bat mobile!

Just cause madden knows football doesn't mean knows technology!!!

Why ban this guy, that is funny stuff!

Me too. But I'll be my own judge. Some guys will never, ever be satisfied. I kinda expected this.

Now I wouldn't mind this if this was like in the practice mode of the game. But in the actual game, having somebody tell you what plays do is like giving somebody the answers to a test and say here go take the test, good luck.

LOL They call the play for you, but you still have to execute the play and that still takes skill. Now the top madden players will use GameFlow but the will use GamePlan to make it there own. Best thing about GameFlow is when u use your headset and the coach is in you ear giving you the play. I kinda felt like Manning for a min.

Does anyone find All-Madden difficulty quite ridiculous?
Austin Collie and Anthony Gonzales breaking LBs and safeties across the middle.

All most impossible to get a sack, no matter what blitz it is.

Joseph Addai breaking DLinemen and LBs as soons as he breaks someone else.

Revis a Cromartie dropping INT's and magically appearing in the WRs hands (when they are blocked off from the ball by the CB)

          DTs throwing off OLinemen?

Hitsticks are pretty much useless on All-Madden.

And maybe the top 3 worst thing I've seen on All-Madden (Other than above):

Players not looking for the ball to catch it

Dropping the ball when they're wide open( Holmes, Edwards, Cotchery and Greene)

OLine doesn't block Freeney and Mathis, but the Colts line blocks my engage eight.

Those are the only problems I've had, everything else is great! Even the strategy pad !

Football is a chess match!?! Now as a football player / coach you learn as the game goes on. each team has a pattern. Which means you study the opponent to know ther next move. I can tell if you are gonna run the ball or pass the ball, just off what you hav been doing in the game. So yes the defensse coordinator is suppose to kno the offense play its his job. his job is always to set you up with the right play and the best play to stop what has been working for the opposing team. study football then talk to me thank you.

I popped in NCAA 11, and in terms of presentation, it was night and day. Gus Johnson is a great addition, but hearing rehashed lines from Collinsworth kills everything. The ESPN presentation from NCAA 11 makes it so much better. Madden should add in NBC or CBS presentation or something to spice things up.

I feel like this version of Madden is for the casuals and the people who don't play or know what football is. I can call my own plays and devise my own gameplans in Madden 10 just fine.

I'm skipping Madden 11 this year, maybe Madden 12 will get a look from me, but I'm just going to stick by NCAA 11 this year, and possibly Backbreaker if the patch works.
You do realize that this is the demo right? Wait till the final build comes out, you will regret not picking this game up. I've seen enough video of the final build to back that statement up.

I thought Manning disconnected his headset and did his own thing?

I am looking forward to trying Gameflow, it looks like it could be fun if done correctly. How long does it take to set up your own gamplan?

Can someone please check to see if Two Player coop is available in the Demo?

I am stuck at work and won't get to try this for another 5 hours.

I hope they just take a year off and concentrate on rebuilding the entire engine from the ground up. but that will only work if the get better and more creative people. I'm not attacking them just making an observation and the proof is in the pudding, if they were creative it would have shown a while ago.

I also played on very slow and on pro with the cpu slider for pass coverage and pass rush at 25. i usually play on all madden , but because of the inability to adjust human sliders, i find that all madden and all pro do not give a "fair" experience when it comes to cpu coverage and pass rush. I played on slow a and normal, but for some reason i'm digging the animations that i'm seeing from the very slow setting.( especially the sideline cathes).
Hold everything. The part I am asking about is "but because of the inability to adjust human sliders". Is this just a demo thing? Or is it going to be this way also in the final retail version as well? If I remember correctly, it was something like this in Madden 09 as well where you could only adjust one set of sliders (can't remember if it was the cpu or human).

My initial impression based on the DEMO is that Madden 11 has been improved in a few departments - but OVERALL, made WEAKER than last year's game and while some additions are nice, that Tiburon SLOPPINESS that I hate so much is back once again.

                            Weaker
Too much emphasis has been placed on "making the game easier" and I come away feeling like the rest of the game has suffered because of it. For the guys who like GameFlow, great. I never felt Madden needed to be made 'more accessible' but if the act of "calling plays" was the last hurdle to get you into the Madden saddle, welcome aboard.

From a very MACRO point of view - GameFlow 'feels' like a corporate directive to get "dad" to try Madden, even though "dad" plays Nintendo Wii. The true gamers play this version. I know JOHN MADDEN himself suggested this GameFlow change and the team has gone a long way to convince us that this is more realistic, but I truly appreciate the ability to disable the feature. Thanks. That's good design.

I feel like I had to DISABLE things to play the game the way I wanted to play it. Disable GameFlow. Disable Auto Sprint. Disable Auto Strafe. KUDOS to Tiburon - giving us the option to turn new things OFF is smart.

                            Sloppier
I've said all year that I welcome the addition of Gus Johnson. He has the POTENTIAL to elevate Madden's presentation to a new level. However, Madden 11 has the SAME sequencing as Madden 10 and EVERY Madden game before it. It's time for something new. The sequencing/programming approach is outdated. We can hear the edits and the biggest gripe is inconsistency in performance. Gus brings a lot of emotion, but when he EXCITEDLY SCREAMS a players name, followed by a very mundane "gains 2 on the play" - you lose me.

If that's not bad enough - Cris Collinsworth still calls Gus Johnson "Tom" on a number of occasions. Are you kidding me, guys? Commentary is a "Back of the Box" feature this year, and there isn't the follow-through to EDIT the Collinsworth audio to reflect it? That's bad, man.

It's a simple operation - you hire an editor to come in, open ALL of the Collinsworth audio and cut out all references to "Tom". He can do it in a 10 hour session. Two days at the most. Want to really be thorough and do it right? You either hire Collinsworth to re-record those "Tom" lines with a new "Gus" or even CHEAT and get a few takes of Collinsworth saying "Gus" for you to edit in. To just leave it as "Tom" screams sloppy. Did you guys think we wouldn't notice? Did you guys think we wouldn't care?

I want to love the new lighting - but I can't because it's INCOMPLETE. To incorporate "new lighting" that STILL ISN'T PROGRESSIVE is another questionable design decision that hurts the game as a whole.

I've personally gotten on the Creative Director and the Art Director's case via Twitter about it. I've been polite at times and borderline rude. What saddens me is that the origination of that idea should NOT be coming from a vocal fan - you would think the Art Director would be handling that kind of stuff already.

What makes the Lighting gripe worse is that NCAA 11, which shares the same engine, HAS a progressive lighting solution. Instead of borrowing it - the Madden team leaves it out completely.

                            Granted, this IS the DEMO
and there's lots of little positive additions to make things nicer than Madden 10 - but it pains me to say that this looks like another year of missed opportunities.

Just played the demo after waiting 8 hours for it to download...

I agree with others that the strategy pad is going to take some getting used to, I would like to see them patch the game so the CPU does not snap the ball as quicky. Towards the end of the game I got pretty quick at making adjustments and still didn't have time to make more than one.

Personally I like the challenge presented by Gameflow. I think we all have a tendancy to lean on our money plays and Gameflow takes that out of the equation to some degree. I prefer to play on all-pro and Gameflow is one way to increase the difficutly, much like Valdarez's "ask madden" challenge in his slider thread last year.

I was able to get 2 sacks in both games I played, they didn't come easy but I was able to get them. I like how they now show a big hit on the QB in instant replay. I was able to run the ball very well as the Jets and not so well as the Colts which seems authentic. I also like the way receivers seem much more tuned in to finding a gap in zone coverage.

The lighting, sound and stadium environment are all a big improvement. Peyton Manning finally has a neck and a helmet that fits his head. I'm hoping that some of the silence that occured between plays was a product of the demo (limting the size).

Great demo, excited for the real thing!
