    (1) I hope it is only the demo but the crowd goes completely silent when the offense walks up to the line.
    (2) HATE that the control scheme is moved to the direction buttons.
    (3) Gameplay feels good and NFL Sunday feel is almost completely there. (Like NFL2K5)
    (4) Gameflow is G. A. Y ..... GAY!!!! GAY!!!! GAY!!!! (No offense to anyone sexually)

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

The atmosphere and the commentary are horrendous in the PS3 demo. Too much pausing, and slow delivery in the commentary, and the atmosphere makes if feel as though I'm playing in front of 25 people and they are about midway up in the stands. It honestly makes the demo relatively boring. With that said, the gameplay on the field is exceptional in my opinion. The change that locomotion has brought into Madden has made this a "new" game in certain aspects.

All-Madden with no slider adjustments, obviously as they aren't in the demo, playing as the Jets, I held Manning to 8 for 18 passing. He had dropped passes, he was off-target, and once or twice he was hit while throwing. Beautiful. Granted it may be a one game fluke, but the fact that my first time with the game and I was able to do that...I'm happy.

Human passing was about what I expected and remember. Nothing has really changed in terms of the flight of the passes and such, but do feel as though the CB/WR interaction is better. I had Cotchery leave his man in the dust on a double move and hit him for a big gain.

The sideline catches are nice, but at times the animation triggers for no good reason. The Colts had Garcon wide open on the sidelines, and instead of turning to face the ball so that he could catch, stop and then run for an easy 15 additional yards, he goes into the sideline animation catch, keeps his feet in and then steps out of bounds. Hopefully, this is something that is looked into.

The running game is a thing of beauty. Oh how I've longed to be able to run without having to rely on "stick skills" and speed bursts in order to have an effective running game. I dominated the ground with Jets front line. Only issue was I fumbled twice.

The cpu running game was just as good as mine. I recall some players of the demo saying they didn't like the running game as it seemed that the runners always cut back into oncoming tacklers, or into a crowd. I didn't see that once, at least not a moment where I was left scratching my head at what the cpu was doing. At one point, Addai bounced a stuffed play to the outside for the TD. I had a love/hate relationship with that play. Loved that he bounced outside which was the right decision, hated he scored the TD.

The strategy pad takes time to get used to. Yes, its a little unorthodox at first, but I quickly adapted and I must say, while I may be in the extreme minority, I like it. I feels more natural than clicking L1/R1 or whatever to make changes. Its fluid.

Overall I'm pleased with the demo, honestly didn't expect not to be, and cannot wait to play the full version in 2 weeks. Hopefully, and judging by the E3 vids it will be so, but hopefully the commentary and atmosphere are better than the demo in the retail version. It couldn't get much worse.

Demo is okay. It's an improvement from Madden 10, but for some reason it just isn't fun.

You guys have to understand they had to fit this DEMO in a certain size file I think 1.23 GB. Now imagine The rest of the teams, revamped commentary, crowd noises, franchise mode, online, online franchise, even ultimate team. There is so much more that goes into this game. It's sad a lot of people are going to miss out on a great game just because they don't like the demo, or strategy pad lol.

revamped commentary-Gus Johnson is an upgrade, but still a bore to listen to.

crowd noises-Was supposed to be in last year, Ian even confirmed it was on the disc.......yet they never fixed it.

              franchise mode-no significant improvements.

              online franchise mode-no salary cap.

ultimate team-worthless mode when resources could be spent on fixing the game, especially franchise mode.

                After playing a game:

                1) Fight for the Fumble is terrible. It's a good thing you can turn it off in the retail.. but in all honesty, it is horrible and shouldn't even be in the game.

                2) The new kicking meter might take some time to get used to. Either my controller stinks or I have to press A harder.. but I missed a reasonable FG and had a terrible punt because of it. Like, I end up completely shanking the FG attempt because of it.

Also, I used GameFlow and followed exactly what my coordinator was saying. No audibles, no hot routes. Although, I did mess around with strategy pad.. and it does look like a serious chore.

With that said, I really like the running game, and I like the catching. It feels more natural. I threw a nice lob to Dustin Keller and it just felt "right".

While I agree with you to a certain extent, I must say, that I don't see a whole lot in the demo, nor the game for that matter(based on information and vids only), that is going to convert anyone to being a Madden player. I say that in regards to people who are turned off/burned out/or flat out frustrated by the series.

On the flipside, if you are a Madden fan, such as myself, than this game is simply best of the bunch on the next gen consoles(which isn't saying a whole lot given the history) but as a fan you certainly appreciate this game a lot.

There's no doubt that Madden '11 isn't "as improved" from Madden '10 as its NCAA counterpart, but it is improved. Locomotion makes a world of difference in this game. For some thats enough, but for others it isn't.

last year with madden 10 it seemed like EA was finally starting to turn the corner with this series and was hoping this year they would build on it, but after playing the demo it looks sounds and feels like they went in another direction, but then again it's just the demo and hopefully the final product is better

I am liking the demo so far. Getting used to the strategy pad.

The only thing that has me worried now is that there is no option to adjust human sliders. GOD, I hope they did not take it out for some reason.

the sliders are there, just unaccessible in the demo. Pause the game, go to settings and you'll see USER SKILL & CPU Skill. Those are the sliders, but as I said, they are unaccessible in the demo.

Just finished my first game of the demo and I must some I am actually really digging the gameplay right now. I am hoping most of the audio presentation is fixed in the final build, which it probably will be. Guys complaining about the poor announcing need to wait for the full version, as it was obviously cut down for file size. Hearing a lot of bad stuff from reading this thread, but I must say this is sooo much better than madden 10, which was already a huge step in right direction. Only thing bugging me right now is the strategy pad but hoping it just a learning curve thing.

Not bad the gameflow is pretty good, although I don't really like the transitions between plays like when you hit gameflow and they shot the team in the huddle etc seems choppy to me but Id guess it'll be better in retail.

Passing seemed smoother then last year, I threw a nice bullet comeback route to Harrison which I always had problems with last year and a nice lob on a seam route to Clark

Call me easy to please but i am pretty impressed. Considering that NCAA is always basically the engine from the previous years madden, i felt so much better playng this than NCAA11. The interaction between players, especially WR/DB is waaaay better. They seem to have done a lot to shorten up animations so that players dont animate their way out of a play. My only gripe is that Peyton manning threw 3 int's. And only one was not a really bad read on a play
