I was bored and highly angered after one game.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how do I shade my safeties? How do I press? How do I shift linemen? How do I audible a route to a streak or a slant?

Passing camera is too far away. I couldn't distinguish the back judge from a safety.

Played 3 games this morning on PS3

I wouldn't call it Madden 11 but more like Madden 10.5 (which isn't a bad thing really)

The locomotion is great, now when you get a pass to your TE he will knock over a smaller CB once he gets moving. Unlike in Madden 10 where trying to tackle a TE was no different then putting the hit on a WR.

The running game is much better, and it's much easier to guard the flats now (IMO)

The deep ball is back, I had my WR's jump up and go after the ball, and they will also stop, turn around and catch the ball as well.

The Dpad will suck at first, but I think in the long run it will be good for the game and help keep it balanced.

The graphics are the same to me, but they were pretty good the last time so again, it's not a bad thing.

Overall I really liked what the demo shows, but I would call it Madden 10.5 before I would call it Madden 11.

Blake1288 - the only thing i could figure out was hot routes, there were other things I couldn't figure out how to do. I hate that control scheme, it's non-intuitive and takes way too long to implement. I had several delay of games and oftentimes on defense had no way of getting more than 1 adjustment before the ball was snapped. Yes I know that in the retail version the CPU will take longer to snap the ball but that does me NO GOOD for online play as human opponents won't so kindly wait for me to make adjustments.

Very unhappy after playing the demo. I honestly thought from reading these impressions that were so bad that my expectations were so poor that I'd be happily surprised but unfortunately it was not the case. If anything the demo turned out to be worse than I thought it'd be.

It's very hard to make a decision based off this demo. I admit when I first played I was not satisfied with what I saw.

I felt the graphics could have been better, and the fact that after playing the demo (which I ended in the 3rd quarter even though I was winning) I went on Madden 10 to play my online franchise, and felt like I had a better experience playing that playoff game then I did playing that demo.

That being said, I didn't like the way WR's morphed to certain spots just so that they could do their leaning, toe sliding catches, but other than that I felt the experience wasn't all that bad, just wasn't as ground breaking as I expect locomotion to feel. This is judging locomotion from what I saw playing the NCAA demo because I haven't played the actual game.

I'm looking forward to hearing from OS peeps, and reviewers who have played the final build, and how it compares to the demo. Add this with the fact that, supposedly, online, and offline franchise haven't changed. I can't help but to feel let down just a little by EA.

Yeah the strategy pad seems like a wild idea, but I'll get use to it. I just hope the nano blitzers don't get use to it. There are a few other issues, but I'm not gonna pick at the demo, like I said, I'll give the final build a look.

Once you take the time to learn where these things are you may find that the game is incredibly enjoyable. Just give it a chance. Change is good sometimes.

Played the PS3 demo last night and I must say that I personally enjoy the game. You can tell that the demo is stripped down as you don't see any cut scenes for booth reviews and the crowd noise was not all there. I am confident that the retail version of the game will have all those cut scenes and sounds. Just watch some of the gameplay vids.

As for the gameplay, I really like it. I also enjoy gameflow as well but im not sure if I will use it in my franchise full time just yet. I think the game will be good this year and enjoyable...at least for me that is

Sorry to hear you're not liking it @ all ODogg. For me personally its the complete opposite. I love the demo. I normally play NCAA muchmore than Madden but this year will be different. If the retail
version is as good or better ill be playing madden 11 until 12 drops.

All I could ask myself was...what happened? From what I can see, it's not as good as Madden 9 or 10. The player figures are small, I have a 40 inch led 120hz tv and could barely make out the players. The Strategy Pad, what were they thinking? GameStop's not gonna be happy (not that I really care) an hour from now cause I'm going to get my $ back. Mabe this has somthing to do with the players union and the leauge not having a CBA contract in place for next year. These are same people that made NCAA 11 with the same exclusive contract as the NFL...is it because there may be a player lockout next year so they trashed Madden this year? We know for a fact the NCAA will have football next year, and look at their game, almost flawless...hmmmm!
                    LoL

to say Madden 11 isn't as good as Madden 10 is funny to me, because it's basically the same game with some good tweaks. But I bet money you don't go get your money back. I bet you end up buying the game like everyone else

MrCheese - it's the same game in most respects but as I pointed out there are some things Madden 10 does better, for instance it has no strategy pad, the computer doesn't call its plays for you out of the box, the camera isn't zoomed out so far the players look like ants and the rushing game isn't overpowered.

Now with that being said I am comparing Madden 10 retail to Madden 11 demo but that's all I have to go on right now. If given the choice between those two though I'd take Madden 10 I think...

I am amazed how much the CPU throws Revis' way.

You know one other thing that I disliked that I forgot to include is the amount of warping that the WRs do to the ball. In the 2 games I played I saw several times where the WR warped to the ball. I thought this was supposed to finally be fixed this year??

Overall I dont think I like this years version of Madden. It seemed a bit of run and gun, maybe it was just the demos settings. In comparison of the two systems.

360 lighting was better, gameplay was smoother.

PS3 lighting alot darker, during replays I noticed framerate problems. I wonder if its just my PS3 though.

Everything else seemed about the same in comparison.

This, I can't tell if the person in the middle is the linebacker/safety or the ref. On defense it's even worse because i usually play safety and shadow crossing routes but the camera is so far back i can't see them. I guess i will have to get used to it but the camera from ncaa is perfect on both sides of the ball
