    PLEASE make the HUD semi-transparent

i've only had this game like a week and a half and the Image Retention is already bad where the EA Sports Logo is and where the rectangle score thing is. The EA Logo is worse because it's super bright white and it's always there when ur in the menu or in a game in the exact same spot. could we please get some option to make it semi transparent or have it rotate or something, it would probably even be fine if it wasn't completely bright white

Plasma sucks with video games for this very reason. Too much static info displayed on video games for these types of TVs. I learned this literally minutes of having one and bought it back immediately that same day to get an LCD.

ive played SO many other games tho and haven't had any problems. Every other game with a UI or HUD either made it semi-transparent by default or the option to make it that way. and i have at least 20 games. EA is the ONLY company i've seen leave their logo on the screen the ENTIRE game so i think it must be a publisher decision rather than developer.. but they could make it slightly transparent and fix it completely

You must have a newer plasma. I had this issues with my Panasonic with Madden last year. It was just a couple months old. Now, I'm over a year in and IR isn't all that noticeable. It will be gone with NCAA after an hour or so of viewing.

It is unfortunate EA doesn't have an option to turn this off, and IR will affect your viewing of dark scenes-- but it does go away and will be less of a factor as your tv ages.

it's only noticeable when the tv is on but there is no picture (like when i go to an input channel that isn't plugged in)... i am just worried it's gonna get worse if i keep playing and i'll be able to notice during movies

I just wish the entire in game menus (pre snap help, scoreboard, all that stuff) were semi-transparent. No reason for it not to be.

honestly i bet they didnt even think about it. i think the bottom score in the game one year was semi transparent, i'm not sure why they took it away. probably so it would look cool at the expense of plasma owners (i love my plasma brightness n picture quality too much to get anything else, except an LED in a few years)

Have you tried scraping the screen? I own a plasma and after playing hours of NCAA football I too would have that awful logo and ticker on the bottom of my screen. My panasonic has a screen wiper utility that blasts the screen from left to right (sorta like a screensaver) and cleared mine up within a few minutes. Have not had permanent image retention by using this built-in app every now and then.

                            Hope this helps....
