From all the screens and the little demo time I have played, the faces are actually better than what I can remember. But the more generic looking faces are horrible!! Not to mention that even the scanned faces have that grin ALL THE TIME!! Gets annoying. But Mark Sanchez looks good, as do most of the coaches I've seen in the vids posted -

coaches look fantastic. player faces are hit and miss, though. peyton looks like a hybrid of peyton and eli, imo.My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

I gotta say it seems like they did a better job on stafford. He stuck out to me as one of the worst done players in madden 10.Comment

yeah, Coach Ryan looks hauntingly realistic and Caldwell looks good as well....also some of the players......but then there are players like Jets RB Green who look scary... I don't know if he looks like that in real life...but in the game he looks scary...Comment

Why is MJD's face generic? he's a top RB....When you've won five national championships, no one faults you for carrying yourself with some swagger. Count me as one that thinks the specific faces are improved, and still have a good ways to go. I don't think Manning looks great, but he certainly looks better then last year and in some of the videos I've seen I was actually impressed by the improvement on a couple players, most notably Alex Smith.Comment

My problem lies less with the actual facial scans but rather with the facial animations. It looks like they're a bunch of fish who just open and close their mouths constantly, it does not pass off the illusion that they're engaging in anything that resembles human speech.
In the different situations, whether they're supposed to be trash talking or when doing post game interviews, I wish they just had proper mouthing animations. Nit picky, I know, but with the constant close-up cutscenes, I think it would be a very nice touch and would make the players far more human.Comment
