SMH... So dissappointed, Maybe if early impressions are good I'll buy, But if they are the same as impressions, I can pass...

NCAA 11 is sooo fun and can keep me busy til BBall games...

The game is exactly the same gameplay wise except for one major flaw, The defense on the sidelines suck... Ive done it many times... Pass to the sideline and the defensive player just lets them run by them, probably will be fixed by retail

The thing I don't understand is that some people are saying this is the best madden ever... I WOULD HOPE SO... they been releasing the game now for 20+ years... and this is like the 7th edition of the next gen games, and they still can't nail the audio and presentation right... I truly don't get it... I watch football on tv every week and I've been to many NFL games, and this game no where near captures the NFL experience... Gus is annoying and robotic... and choppy sentences... the crowd although a bit better is still lame overall and not realistic enough depending on the situation... and the overall presentation is bad... HORRIBLE game intro... what's with all the team's doing the drew bree huddle dance before a game??... you figure after 20 years there would be a coin toss, a half time show, a post game show...etc... why not go to real stadiums and record real audio, instead of having 20 EA employees in an office chanting J_E_T_S Jets, Jets, Jets...
why don't these madden guys get into a cab and go visit the audio crew over at FIFA 10 headquarters to get some audio pointers.... and I don't like baseball games, but please have a look at MLB 10:The Show to get an idea on how to present these games... even NFL 2k5 had superior game presentation to these madden games.... these Madden guys are frickin' lazy and con-artists, as they do very little each year, and come out with useless features like 'fight for the fumble'... and yet we have to buy the game year after year after year... not commenting on the gameplay at all as that is not what my issue is here...

but really,,, it's time that the Madden crew do a major major overhaul on this game... something Fifa did a few years ago and sounds like the crew at NBA Live are doing this year... Madden 11 is a stale game, they did nothing major to improve it over 2010 and yet they still want us to fork out $60 ,,, no thanks... but as long as we keep buying it, they will do these minor upgrades year after year.... I watched every playoff game last year and remember the excitement in many of the games... but Madden 11 presentation from the audio to the video comes no where near giving us the impression that your in the stadium or watching the game on tv.. no where close, and I just think that after 20+ years of making this game... they should start doing so... i just find the demo Boring... just Boring... boring announcer,, boring crowd,, boring atmosphere...

I wish EA would actually read this forum, and realize that overall,, the majority of these people hear are not impressed with Madden 11 ,,, that's a bad thing,,, but they will still buy it as it's the only player in town...

You are entitled to your opinion. Some would think otherwise. I amazed that people are still buying the game from a lead developer that said real time physics were not possible on this generation of consoles.

All-Pro is too easy, but running on All-Madden is impossible. None of my blockers can hold a block on All-Madden for more than a split second, resulting most of my run plays being stuffed in the backfield.

After about 12 games on All-Madden I finally put together some good runs.

The first 8 games or so consisted of 20 carries for 26 yard type games.

I just went 22 for 103, and 16 for 101 including an 83 yarder.

The power O seemed to work when everything else wouldn't and then the other runs started to find a little room.

While I know this isn't the retail version, I am playing on All-Madden and am experimenting with all types of stuff so I can get an idea of what type of crap I'll have to deal with.

I don't even bother on All-Pro because I kill the cpu, so I have to try All-Madden.

While it isn't as bad as before, I am seeing more warping safeties and LB's who leap to the moon to break up passes, but it still isn't as bad as in year's past.

Just wanted to let you guys know just in case you were dazzled by the passing game in All-Pro like I was at first....but again, even at All-Madden it is still better than last year's passing game.

Game flow is for amateurs that do not know anything its annoying IMO. and that coach on the head set shut up. Strategy pad is weak also I dont know why they try to fix something that wasn't broke.

Everything else seems fine some AI issues such as Safeties in no mans land most of the time but those are usually resolved by Sliders or Patch.

and i would challenge some of your comparison lists...i have seen guys...scrum after plays...linemen breathe heavily during a hurry-up attack....guys tripping & stumbling.....uniforms dirty in the rain....sideline catches..adaptive AI....signature styles

We'll agree to disagree on this topic. If you see those elements that make the game fun for you, that is great. I really wish I did too, unfortunately I don't.

lets not get ahead of ourselves,this is a demo people,the most important judgement we have to make is on the full retail copy,the demo is like a beta.

Unfortunately I don't recall a time when a madden demo was that far off from the final version.

Completely underwhelmed unfortunately.

Last year showed so much promise even if it didn't play a great game. They stepped sideways this year. And I still have no idea why amazing presentation continuously evades Madden (and NCAA...I mean, tell me really, how hard is it to add stat overlays? tendencies???!!!) absolutely no idea.

I don't get why people insist on not judging the game by the demo version when the final product always proves to be pretty similar.

It's not like it's going to be this completely different game.

What you see is pretty much what you get.

Yup.

Instead of wasting whatever time it took to implement gameflow and the new strategy pad, they could've used that time to make the actual gameplay better.

They could've used that time to make elite pass rushers do something other than be completely irrelevant.

They could've used that time to find a way to finally make receivers catch the ball with their hands extended in perfect stride without losing speed instead of going through these super long animations that slow them down....something that has been in the game yet nobody picks up on for years now.

But that's EA's approach to Madden....spend time on crap nobody wants or cares about as opposed to using every possible second to improve the on-the-field product.

So many problems with this game but it is pretty sad that the exclusive video game of the NFL can't even get the ball size correct. It looks absolutely ridiculous, and has for years.

After playing the demo, I have a few questions -

1) Can the strategy guide option be turned off in the final version?
2) Can the voice/text that says what you're going to do on each play be turned off in the final version?
3) Can Gameflow be turned off in the final version?
