I am on the Ps3 and I really am liking the strat pad the more and more I play. On the Ps3 it really is not really awkward at all, it just takes learing where things are.

I like that you cannot make a ton of adjustments after you are lined up. Never thought that was very realistic anyway. I also feel this will really tie in with the gameplan feature. I think the better you become at gameplanning the less you will feel the need to adjust so much every play.

some people said its not that a big a deal and we should worry about other things AI tackling ect. But us madden fans have been used to that same garbage for years, when Madden devs mess up something that i could argue was done perfectly it's very sad to see it gone.

There is a great lesson in all this, We Should All Appreciate what we have b/c u never know when (EA will screw it up b/4) it will be gone. lol

I think everyone should be football fans instead of Madden fans. Then maybe we'd get some real improvements. There were more less visually great games years ago, that were closer to football AS A WHOLE, than Madden.

This was very well thought out and organized well. While I agree with people who are for the Strategy pad and those who are against it, I must say that I would like it changed back to how it has been for as long as I've been playing Madden. Mainly because of the differences going between NCAA and Madden. I constantly find myself thinking a little more whenever I switch between the two, which in tern delays my audibles.

Does anyone really think there will be a real push/chance by EA to put in a patch etc. for the old pre snap controls?

IMO it was done to stop the online cheesers. In the end it has effected those who don't play online.

I am very critical of Madden but this year they put the work in under the hood. In fact this year I am in the hunt the buy the game early. Everyone including myself has complained about core issues like the running game and blocking both these issues have been addressed. In terms of franchise additions I think EA made a smart choice to put that off a year to focus on the gameplay. In fact based on the demo I am in the hunt to buy the game early.

I think you are working for EA sports.......Or else you don't use hot routes,or this years demo is the first time you actually played Madden.....When you say these core issues have been addressed who has affirmed this??? Because blocking is okay as per the demo and the same goes with the run game. After playing NCAA for the past 2 weeks and playing the Madden demo aside from graphics Madden seems lacking,on top of the change to the strategy pad????Which new players have to learn how to use the strategy pad now so really the change didn't help anyone....This may be the first year I don't go out and buy Madden on release day.

that I got...but what about taking a WR route...say a 5 yard out pattern...but you need 7 for the first down...last year i could click r3 and that would turn that 5 yard out into a 7 yard out

THAT'S A SMART ROUTE???? Omg, this would've made 10 so much more enjoyable for me, I thought this was in the game- but the instruction manual= not helpful...I shoud've googled it.
