MrJordan's Historic Teams File For Download (Xbox360)

This took over a month to do.
    Whew, alot of work.

Special thanks to RaiderKtulu for old school NFL logos and endzones and gjsii13
    for the newer ones.

    Also thanks to
    FlyingFinn for the editor!

    32 HISTORIC NFL TEAMS:

    2000 Ravens
    2007 Patriots
    1999 Rams
    1999 Titans

    1997 Lions

    1998 Broncos
    1991 Chiefs

    1990 Bills
    1986 Giants
    1989 49ers
    1985 Bears

    1989 Eagles
    1978 Cowboys
    1983 Redskins
    1999 Jags

1979 Oilers (in the Texans slot)
    1976 Raiders
    1980 Chargers

    1976 Colts

also 2 BONUS TEAMS with alternate old school uni/logo :
Broncos (orange crush unis and old logo)
Patriots (red, white and blue unis and old logo)

Apologies to Seahawks, Panthers and Texans fans.
Personal choice to include Marino's Fins, OJ's Bills and Oilers in place of those. Also personal choice not to duplicate teams that I or capa have already created / rated for ESPN 2k5.

    RATINGS
    based on http://www.pro-football-reference.com
All players created and rated, with extra players (4 TE, 4 FB, etc) taken from nearby seasons.

I rated all for the upcoming patch, assuming that it solves all of our problems. If not, a global edit can fix all, however, even with DBs at 1 FOCUS and 1 AGILITY they are still making picks all day long currently. I assume this will be fixed and we should have an announcement very soon from Todd, the dev!

Meanwhile, if you want to try these out before the patch, I suggest you try
    209,90,75,209 OL
    90 ,80,80,90 rb
    90,70,70,90 te
    209,70,70,100 qb
    110, 70, 70, 90 FB
    1, 1, 75-80, 70 S
    1, 1, 75-80, 50 cb
    40, 20, 65-80, 75 LB
    10 DL
which will give you a decent game, but STILL have more INTs than you want.
The Patch is still desperately needed.

    RATINGS IN THIS FILE:

    FOCUS
    GOLD all pros- 95-100
    pro bowlers 90-95
    SILVER (statistical standouts) 80-90
    STARTER 70-80
    SUB 60-70
    SCRUB 50-60

    AGILITY (starters)
    QB 50-80
    WR 80-100
    TE 70-90
    RB 80-100
    FB 70-90
    OL 50-70
    DL 50-70
    LB 60-80
    CB 80-100
    S 80-100
    K 70-95
    P 70-95

    SPEED (starters)
    QB 50-85
    WR 80-100

    RB 80-100
    FB 60-80
    OL 50-70
DL 50-70 (80 for top DE pass rushers)
    LB 60-80
    CB 80-100
    S 80-100

    STRENGTH (starters)
    QB 60-90
    WR 55-60
    TE 70-85
    RB 75-85
    FB 75-85
    OL 80-100
    DL 80-100
    LB 70-85
    CB 55-60
    S 75-80
    K 45-55
    P 65

Subs and scrubs will be rated lower.

I have also given each team its bias based on the specific season in the file, so they should play true to life. ('72 Dolphins have run bias, '99 Rams have pass bias, etc., and for attribute bias, if a team had low turnover totals on offense and high on defense, they were FOCUS biased, etc.)

The one thing that is truly broken and I would be surprised to find fixed in the patch is simmed stats. That is a hopeless situation where a scrub can lead the league, and kick returners are linemen, but I have my fingers crossed.

    NOW HEAR THIS:

I know many of you would like to substitute other NFL teams instead of the ones I picked. That's fine, feel free to change any team you like.
It will take you a few hours per team, but as long as you follow the scale above, it will mesh with the other teams created in the league.
Just tweak till you feel it's right.
    Enjoy.
    MJ

        Use the BBCUST file.
The team files have to be imported using Finn's editor if you want to use those 2 alt teams.

The file works fine. Has anyone else had any trouble?
        thanks,
        MJ

first use winrar to unpack the file.
            Then import the BBCUST file.
            thanks,

Re: MrJordan's Historic Teams File For Download (Xbox360)

You can absolutely mix and match.

All you have to do is

                    1. load up Finn's editor with our historic rosters,

                    2. export the historic teams you like - one at a time to your save folder

                    3. then load the current roster file in the editor

                    4. bring up the team you want to replace
(say you want to replace the current Bears with the '85 Bears then bring up the bears)

                    5. import the Bears team file that you exported from the historic file into the current Bears slot, and

                    6. viola, you have both.

                    MJ

note- make sure when you are in the editor that the historic teams and current teams have similar attribute ratings...otherwise it won't be balanced.

On some of the teams there are some players with only 1 letter as a first name. Have you seen this?

Yes they are generally the bottom roster guys that will not play outside of special teams, like backup offensive linemen, etc., are abbreviated with first initial only. All starters and primary backups have full names.
                        thanks,

Great job on the rosters. Love the 75 Cards. Wish the 68 Jets and 69 Chiefs were there.
