Too big. His skin tone and eyes are also slightly off. Can't see if they got the leg tatt from that angle.

He looks exactly the same as he did in 2k10.

I'm not saying it takes that long for anyone, but I am saying that I go the NBA-Live forums from time to time and see what some modders do and I see some great results that take time. You know what? How long would it take you to mod 300+ players to look perfect? And I think this department doesn't only create faces. So you need to mod 300+ faces, uniforms, courts, body models, shoes (and don't know what else)... and you need them all to be perfect. also remember that they not necessarily use the same models that you use to mod - because they're already done. I'm sure they used ones that are based on last year, but probably different, so I assume they need to change some face layouts.

Again, I'n not syaing they shouldn't make it all great, or that they're not getting enough money for that. I am saying that in my opininon they're far more busy than the guy who does it in his basement.
I take your point, but there's not ONE GUY doing 300 faces. And they have an ENTIRE YEAR. I'm sure if they want great faces/bodies etc..they're not going to delegate additional responsibilities(uniforms, courts, body models, shoes) on the project to the same guy doing the faces. Pointless to speculate that part though.

Anyway, I find the glaring discrepancies between virtual and real counter-part year after year to be quite notable... Especially after reading quotes like this:

2K Sports has always been about the authenticity of the sport, down to the most minute details, and NBA 2K11 continues that attention to detail.
                - Rob Jones

This is the reason I'm in this debate. I'm trying to find an answer to this disparity in philosophy and application...

Faces are hard to do. They really are.

As far as body models. 2k has body tweak sliders but haven't made them available on the edit screen for some reason. On the PC we can edit this but consoles not.

Hopefully 2k opens this up to be edited.

That's not A.I.2. Doesn't really look like him plus he's way too "swole". A.I.2. is a thinner, "naturally muscular looking" type guy (i forget the exact medical name of his body type. it's either endomorph, ectomorph (?) or mesomorph or something in those ranges). That pic looks like he's been hitting the gym as hard as me. Ha.

Not to mention, it looks like the "turtle necks" and "head 'n' shoulders" are back but I'll give it a slight pass because of the "on the move" capture...but it looks like same ole, same ole body proportion issues from the past. Gotta see more updated video to see if they eliminated that prob or it's still there.
Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....
