Anyone over the age of 12 should know that its a work in progress, game releases in October, we're in July, its a no-brainer. To me the "Work in Progress" overlay is pretty condescending.

Anyway, maybe its because I'm from the Atari 2600 era, but when I see these early screens, I think, "Looks great", when the next batch comes out, I'll think, "Looks great too", and when the game releases, I'll think, "Looks great as well"

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I would say the CPU is getting more human every year for most games. Both ways to play are fun and wil always be needed

I don't know. Someone who's...let's say 25 and sees it for the first time would think it's the final product. Not everyone knows that 2 months in sports games mean...like 10 months in Metal Gear Solid.

plays needed an overhauling- we got it
animations needed less canned feeling- we got it

            sign me up!

Games from years past like CH2k8 had a true sense of controlability. If I wanted to quickly switch players and quickly tap A for a pass then B for the dunk, I could do that. Maybe it was less animations that COULD potentially get in the way, but It worked. Latest editions of the 2kgames, saw a more animation overloud. I'm glad it is going back to the way it was.

Given the controlability of a CH2k8 gave up the sense of weight and "foot planting". They had to pick and choose their battles. I'm glad they have worked hard on this aspect. 2k10 was more foot planting but less control, 2k8 was all control, and nothing that "felt" right.. What a tough catch 22 to be in.

Props to 2k for that being a main focus

I can't wait to get the game.
Is there anything about improving Defense?

Say what you want about the graphics, but the player faces look MUCH better even in this early build. They seem to have refined the hard edges on joints as well.

These are easily the best early screen shots that 2K has released this gen.

They've essentially added everything that was great about Live last year which 2K was missing. If they've made improvements to defense under the basket I'll be in hoop heaven.

Maybe you are not good at OBC. Even in Live, you can get over 60 points in the paint using OBC. Now, how about 2k's case their horrible paint zone defense? I'm not saying that control kills Live 10, but saying it's gonna kill 2k without overhauling their defense logic.

And actually when 2k had OBC like Live 10? 2k7? 2k8 2k9? 2k10? No. Maybe 2k5 or 2k6? I'm not sure, too old to remember.

I know plenty about the game. But we're talking about video game controls. Not real basketball. If that was the answer I'd go to a playground.
