You do realize the game will be played by millions of people and theres no way its finely tuned for everyone. For me its too easy out of the box but that doesn't mean the next guy feels that way but im sure you consider this right? As far as the INTs go that happens at time if you let the CPU do the work but if you gofor the pick manually you rarely see it unless the player your using catching is low. DR on the Jets gets too many for me even if I dont control him so it could be a matter of the player.

Not really feeling the demo. Gameplay is the same as last year. I see a ton of comments about how good Gus Johnson sounds, but I don't think we're hearing the same thing. There are too many long pauses and awkward outburst. "He drops back.....HE HAULS IT IN!.....3 yard gain." It just does not flow. I also never hear him and Collinsworth interact. They spent an entire year hyping a feature that most people will not even use. Pure GIMMICK. Speaking of gimmicks, ProTack seems to be even worse. In my first game on All Madden difficulty I seen the animation where the ball carrier spins out of the a gang tackle 4 times.Comment

I agree 100%!I'm asking this with a 100% sincerity with no sarcasm involved: what have they been working on? This game doesn't have the semblance of a game that has went through an entire one year developing cycle. Same animations from years past, minor cosmetic changes, commentary that sounds disjointed, dis-interesting gameplay on the defensive side of the ball, static and overpowering o-line play, generic overlays, dead sidelines, even WORSE tackling than I can remember, no real discrepancy between players in terms of the way each "feel" despite "locomotion", literally synchronized skating taken place on the field BECAUSE of "locomotion". Then to top it off, one of the most noteworthy features in this years game "gameflow" is pretty much useless to me as I would turn it off when playing the full version of the game. I'm not going to even touch on the "strategy pad...."

This feels more like a patch then it does a brand new game. I'll play more when I return home to see if I can find some new overriding good things but the things I named really stood out to me, and most of it have been plaguing this series for several years & running.Comment

In the demo version they cut out a lot of the commentary so hopefuly the full version is better. Not really feeling the demo. Gameplay is the same as last year. I ran an entire drive w no passes. Scored a td w the jets. On pro no sliders...that shouldn't happen even on rookie.

You know this game IS imrpoved but I don't think the demo reflects it like it could.

The more I'm playing the more I get used to locomotion, but my wr still stop on a dime near the sideline... So it seems like we have locomotion with no momentum... Still gonna get the game but more focus toward realistic weight shifts would be niceComment

that's why they have more than one difficulty setting. i get a lot of user drops, too. maybe i'm just unlucky. but user or not, they shouldn't drop the ball as often as they do. and a pick should be a pick. just because i press a button, that shouldn't make the chance for an interception higher. that concept just sounds ridiculous to me.You do realize the game will be played by millions of people and theres no way its finely tuned for everyone. 3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.Comment

 Wow.

 1. Saw a three man tackle near the goaline last night.

 2. Same game, saw a WR go up stride for stride and catch the ball in mid-air while being tackled around the waist.

Catching debug tool is working nice.Comment

Umm, yes it should. 1. you were on Pro, 2. Indy has a crappy run defense. 3. Jets have an excellent running game.I ran an entire drive w no passes. Scored a td w the jets. On pro no sliders...that shouldn't happen even on rookie.

Would you really prefer the CPU throwing 7 or 8 INTs every game?that's why they have more than one difficulty setting. i get a lot of user drops, too. maybe i'm just unlucky. but user or not, they shouldn't drop the ball as often as they do. and a pick should be a pick. just because i press a button, that shouldn't make the chance for an interception higher. that concept just sounds ridiculous to me.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

In general though, if you are talking about real life, defensive players drop A LOT of sure interceptions, every game. There is a saying in Football. If such and such defensive player could catch, he'd be playing on offense.

Not trying to apologize for the game. They should catch more than they do for sure, but anyone that thinks that every time a defender has a chance to make an interception, he should... well that isn't close to the case with real life.

But again, I agree, they do drop a few too many in the game.

The main reason for that is because of the passes being tethered to the receiver. You almost never see passes in the dirt. or out of bounds, or so far over someone's head that no one can get to it. Probably 95% of all passes have the opportunity for either the offensive player or defensive player, to make a play on it. With that high and unrealistic amount of passes touching either teams hands, they have to control the frequency of interceptions some how. Dropping them is the only way.

Yet another example of why the passing game needs to be overhauled."You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling."Comment

I get tremendous rush on the computer and I don't control the D-Line either. The problem is that 99% of the time that I get great pressure, the QB throws the ball a split second before he gets hit lol."You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling."Comment
