Pros-
Lighting
Some new animations
Graphics slightly better
Ball physics
Skip past chain gang cut screen

Cons-
Crowd and sidelines still look bad
New announcer is annoying
On-field playcalling more complicated

Still not sure if I'm going to buy Madden this year. It just feels like Madden 10. NCAA players look and move better. Madden player models also look smaller.

If I get perfect power with Nick Folk from the 30 yard line, and the football lands on the field in the end zone. WTF?

Also, Is it just me or is there ABSOLUTELY NO BLOCKING ON KICK OFF RETURNS?

Silver members must wait a week after release to download the demo. You should be able to download it on Tuesday.

So what happened to the sound in this game? The crowd becomes real quiet until something happens. I was thinking about buying this game (haven't had a Madden game for a few years now), but with the lack of ambience in the game, it might be a deal breaker.

Well after several attempts to try and like this years version of Madden, I think it falls well short of being a decent game. Several areas I totally hate and I think this years version will not be welcomed by hardcore fans of the series, and I am one of them.

1. Gameflow is a horrible addition to the game. To me it is "Ask Madden" all dressed up for the casual gamer.

2. The coachspeak before each play is run is a total distraction. I feel this makes it WAY to easy for the hardcore player who already knows how to run plays on offense and defense and allows the casual gamer to compete and not really making them "Learn" the game. I hope that option can be turned off.

3. The strategy pad takes away from seeing what should be happening on the field. I spent more time trying to fumble through that thing than actually trying to read defenses and shifitng players on D. Horrible addition to this years game.

4. the kicking and punting game is simply awful. The meter was fine. leave it the way it was.

5. the gameplanning option I feel is going to be exposed online and will take away from the experience. It may really tie into the gameflow option and you will really see a lot of abused plays. i.e. the screen play in 10.

Overall I feel they really dumbed down the game for the casual fan and pissed of the hardcore fan of the series. Pretty sure I will not buy this year, as the additions to the game are a big negative in my opinion. How long until 2012??

anyone else been experimenting with different penalty sliders? I've been doing this to get a gauge on how the penalties are called and its not much different than last year, although I've seen about a half dozen or so pass interference calls.

I thought the game play and graphics were great.. but all this learn how to play football crap gets in the way, and the strategy pad or watever its called takes to much time. by the time i want my D line shifted to the strong side the balls already been snapped. I got ncaa this year and i dont even think its all that great. hopefully next years games will be much improved.

I've played some more and it is alright... My biggest gripes are that I accidentally push my Secondary back because you have to bring up the strategy pad before you can even use it... It gets my team beat alot in the game...

It's gameplay is a little better, I put it on normal speed and took auto everything off...

The only other gripe is the fact that nothing has been added to Dynasty mode... I still prob gonna break and buy it but, I can already tell its prob gonna be played a couple months and then forgotten

In the minority here, but I like the demo.

Maybe because I haven't played NCAA11, but I like this game. I'm able to run with Greene. Sanchez is 'Montana-esque' but hopefully sliders can fix this.

Issues here and there but not enough to make me not like it.

Running game shines once you stop trying to press so hard on the sticks.

Gameflow calls some real head-scratchers. Not sure what I want to do with this in the retail version. I prefer to use it and just audible out for now but I dunno yet. I like it though.

On defense, gameflow is also weird.

But overall, I give it a 7/10 so far.

Positives:
Running
Defensive players have weight to them
Run blocking
WRs stretching to catch the ball
WR sideline animations
Gameflow quickens the games

Negatives:
Strategy Pad needs to go. Takes WAY too much time.
Gameflow playcalling doesn't make sense some times.
Not enough time on defense pre-snap to make adjustments.

Can't wait to get the retail version.

after giving this years game a chance, it has fallen short for me once again. i can't stress enough, how the core football experience still isn't there in the way of gameplay. i don't think EA get it at all. they're afraid to piss off their fanbase(the casual football gamer)and give us hardcore what we want. no videogame will ever be perfect, especially when it comes to sports, but these guys just aren't trying hard enough.

another sad year...i'm glad it's over for them and exclusivity with the NFL. next year they'll have competition once again

I gotta say, aside from the audio, which is clearly somewhat messed up in the demo, I'm loving this game more everytime I play it. Player models look and move great, most, if not all, of the animations are completely improved, and the graphics look VERY good with the improved lighting.

August 10 is going to be a good day for me

Im actually enjoying the gameflow and this demo overall but Im on the PS3 and and player models are average at best .
